  10.      INTRODUCTION

  12.      This software is a VGA demonstration of the SUPERSCAPE Visualiser which
  13.      is designed for the PC based Desktop VR Workstation.  The virtual world
  14.      displayed has been created using the Virtual Reality Toolkit - the first
  15.      interactive Virtual World creation system.
  16.      It should be noted that the Desktop VR, Superscape Visualiser and Virtual
  17.      Reality Toolkit products are considerably superior to this demonstration
  18.      in respect of screen resolution, degree of detail, control interface and
  19.      speed of screen update.  This demonstration will, however, allow an
  20.      insight into the possibilities and experiences of interacting within a
  21.      virtual world.

  24.      LOADING

  26.      System required - IBM PC or compatible with VGA (386 or 486 recommended).
  27.      Mouse optional.
  28.      Insert the disk into the current drive and type

  32.      The software will now load and run.  A key press will bypass the initial
  33.      loading and text screens once loading is complete.

  50.      USING THE DEMONSTRATION
  51.      -----------------------
  52.      This demonstration will allow you to interact in real time within a
  53.      small environment or "virtual world".
  54.      When the demonstration has loaded, use the "O" key to move your viewpoint
  55.      forwards into the environment, the "Q" key to turn your view to the left
  56.      and the "W" key to turn to the right.
  57.      Use these keys, and others as detailed below, to explore the virtual
  58.      world.

  144.      THE PRODUCT RANGE

  147.   *  The Desktop VR system is a turnkey solution complete with all hardware
  148.      and Virtual Reality software - the Superscape Visualiser.  This provides
  149.      real time visualisation and interaction within virtual worlds.  Several
  150.      example worlds are supplied.

  152.   *  The Virtual Reality Toolkit (VRT) is an interactive utility  used for the
  153.      creation and manipulation of virtual worlds. Although it is designed for
  154.      use with the Desktop VR system, the created worlds can be run on any
  155.      desktop or immersion virtual reality system.
  156.      The integrated package includes the Shape Editor - a real time solid 3D
  157.      shape modeller, the World Editor - a real time environment creation
  158.      program, and several libraries of ready made shapes and objects.
  159.      No programming experience is necessary to use VRT - it is typically being
  160.      used by designers and artists.
