  5.         ModemNews Magazine is NOT asking for Donations to the cause, we are
  6.     however just stating some simple facts.  It has cost us a little  under
  7.     $5000.00  to  bring you what is turning out to be America's most widely
  8.     read full color, menu driven BBS Magazine.

  10.         It  has  cost  us  for  Lawyers to keep our ideas and work out of the
  11.     hands of the untrustworthy.  It has cost us money to pay  Ma  Bell  for
  12.     distribution  of  our  fine publication, and regardless of what happens
  13.     here we will continue to bring you ModemNews Magazine, as always,  free
  14.     of charge!  This will not change.

  17.                  But, just in case you are interested. . . . .

  20.         We currently offer a subscription service  so  that  you  may  have
  21.     ModemNews  delivered to your mail box each and every month without ever
  22.     picking up your telephone, but we do not see  much  of  a  profit  from
  23.     that. As a matter of fact, the three dollar per issue charge (or thirty
  24.     dollars per year) just about covers our costs.
  25.  
  26.         We  also offer very affordable advertising rates.  For as little as
  27.     $50.00 per issue, you, your business, or your BBS may have up to 10K to
  28.     use in almost anyway you would like within our  pages.   We  will  even
  29.     help  you  create an ad that will be an 'eyecatcher', and place it in a
  30.     prominent position so that all will see it!  From this, we do  actually
  31.     make  a  few  bucks each issue but never enough to cover our costs.  As
  32.     stated before, we will nevertheless continue  to  bring  you  ModemNews
  33.     Magazine completely free of charge.

  35.         So,  where  does  this leave us?  In exactly the same place we were
  36.     before.  Our Subscription service is available to  you,  and  our  very
  37.     affordable  advertising  rates  are  there for your businesses.  Please
  38.     just try to remember that Modemnews Magazine relies on YOUR support for
  39.     our continued success.  Your stories and  articles,  your  recipes  and
  40.     comments. But most important, your continued support!
