- The way the display card handles
- graphics is to assign each dot
- location two numbers, one for it's
- horizontal position and one for
- its vertical position. To put a
- dot in the upper left corner of
- this screen, the card would tell
- the monitor to put a dot at 0,0.
- And the lower right of this screen
- is 639,199. The middle is 320,100.
- To draw a line, the card would
- tell the monitor to put dots at a
- series of locations. There are
- some more RAM chips on the
- display card to remember which
- places dots are to be located.
- The text character patterns of
- dots are stored in ROM chips on
- the display card.
