  11. Registration is required if you use this program for more then the
  12. 15 day evaluation period.  Registration gets you free telephone tech
  13. support, a printed manual, and the programmer's toolboxes.  The
  14. toolboxes are for Borland's Turbo Pascal and C.  They include source
  15. code and allow you to incorporate palette changes into your programs.

  17. ColorBox is a fantastic development tool!  You can easily design
  18. palettes that make your programs very unique looking without any
  19. proprietary overhead!

  21. This shareware release includes:

  23. CB.EXE
  24. ======
  25. The ColorBox TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) program.  This program
  26. allows you to create new palettes, activate saved palettes, or change
  27. the current palette.  It has built in help.

  31. ColorBox's pop-up help file.

  33. TESTSCR.EXE
  34. ===========
  35. This program displays all the differnet colors in the standard palette
  36. so that you can view how each will be affected by your changes.

  38. SETPAL.EXE
  39. ==========
  40. This program (also TSR) requires that you execute it with a specific
  41. palette name.  For example:
  42. C:\> setpal c_rainbw
  43. sets the setpal to c_rainbow.  What this allows you to do is hit
  44. Ctrl-LeftShift and instantly change the palette to the one specified
  45. at the time of execution.  So hitting Ctrl-LeftShift after performing
  46. the above command would change your palette to c_rainbw.

  48. CHPAL.EXE
  49. =========
  50. This program allows you to change to a new palette from the DOS command
  51. line.  For example:
  52. C:\> chpal c_rainbw
  53. would change the current palette to c_rainbow.

  55. *.CBP
  56. =====
  57. These are sample palettes included in the shareware release.  .CBP is
  58. the default extension for palette names.
