  1. *       Main Menu Help
  2.  
  3. Add news item    - This option lets you add a new news item.
  4. Delete news item - This option lets you delete a news item that is already
  5.                    present.
  6. Edit news item   - Lets you edit the text of an existing news item.
  7. View news items  - This option brings up the news viewer, which lets you
  8.                    see the news items. The items appear similar to how
  9.                    they would appear in the ANSI output file.
  10. Colour Edit      - This option lets you change the text colour, background
  11.                    colour, line colour and header colour of any news item
  12.                    present.
  13. Write Ansi/Ascii - This option will write the output ANSI and ASCII files
  14.                    to the disk / hard disk. The ANSI/ASCII files will only be
  15.                    created if you choose this option.
  16. Setup            - This option lets you change the setup of ZeroNews.
  17. Quit to OS       - Quit to the Operating System.
  18. *       Add News Item Help

  20. To navigate across the screen, use the arrow keys. The <HOME> and <END> keys
  21. take you to the beginning or end (respectively) of each line.

  23. The <DELETE>, <BACKSPACE> and <INSERT> keys work also.

  25. The <TAB> key takes you five spaces forward across the line.
  26.  
  27. The <ESCAPE> key finishes the entry of text, and you will then be asked if
  28. you wish to save the text or not.
  29. *       Edit News Item Help

  42. 1 - This option lets you change the character that will be used as the line
  43.     when the ANSI/ASCII files are written. The default is a line (#196), ─ .
  44. 2 - This option lets you change the prompt that appears on the bottom of
  45.     each message. The prompt is 'Press Enter' by default.
  46. 3 - This option lets you change the justification of any news items that
  47.     you write AFTER you change this option.
  48.     1 = Left (default), 2 = Centre, 3 = Right.
  49. 4 - If you run Ezycom, set this to true. If set on then this will include
  50.     some Ezycom codes in the output ANSI/ASCII files.
  51. 5 - You can change the output ANSI filename with this option.
  52. 6 - You can change the output ASCII filename with this option.
  53. *       View News Help

  55. Use the arrow keys to to go forward or backward through the news files.
  56.  
  57. The <HOME> and <END> keys take you to the beginning of the news items or
  58. to the last of the news items, respectively.

  60. The news files are displayed in the colours that will be used in the ANSI
  61. and ASCII output files.
  62. *       Colour Edit Help
  63.  
  64. To change the colour of the news item, choose what you want to change:
  65.  
  66. Foreground colour - The foreground colour of the normal news text
  67. Background colour - The background colour of the entire news item
  68. Line colour       - The colour of the lines in the news bulletin
  69. Header colour     - The colour of the header of the news bulletin
  70.  
  71. Once you have chosen which option you would like to change, use the up and
  72. down arrow keys to cycle through the list of colours available for that
  73. choice. Press enter when the arrow is next to the colour you want.

  75. Please note: Black is located at the bottom of the Background Colour List.
