  4. Thank you for trying WinFOSSIL.  WinFOSSIL is a 32-bit FOSSIL driver
  5. for Windows 95.  It enhances the performance of existing MS-DOS 
  6. communication applications such as many bulletin board programs
  7. and terminal emulation packages.  WinFOSSIL provides a fast path
  8. from the applications interface to the 32-bit communications drivers
  9. of Windows 95.

  11. WinFOSSIL is SHAREWARE, you are granted a 30-day trial period after
  12. which you are expected to pay the registration fee if you continue
  13. to use this product. Additional shipping charges for international 
  14. orders may apply. See the LICENSE.TXT and REGFORM.TXT for more 
  15. information.

  19. To INSTALL: Run the SETUP program included in the distribution
  20. files. Setup installs the driver and supporting control panel 
  21. applet. Context senstive help is available in the control panel 
  22. applet, press F1 in the fields if you need assistance.  
  23.  
  24. Do not run SETUP from within a directory with a long filename (LFN).
  25. The Windows 95 device installer will not be able to determine the
  26. location of the files.  You can work around this by specifying the
  27. short name equivalent for the directory (e.g. c:\WinFos~1 for
  28. C:\WinFOSSIL), but you are encouraged to install this in an 8.3
  29. directory name instead.

  31. WinFOSSIL will always override the existing FOSSIL drivers for active 
  32. ports, but to avoid potential conflicts, it is strongly recommended 
  33. that you remove your existing real-mode FOSSIL drivers from the 
  34. CONFIG.SYS.

  36. To UNINSTALL: Select the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control
  37. Panel.  Find the WinFOSSIL entry in the applications list and then
  38. press the Add/Remove button.

  41. button in the WinFOSSIL Control Panel application.
