- UPGRADING FROM 2.0 TO 2.1
- -------------------------
-
- Upgrading an existing TriBBS system from either version 2.0 or
- 2.01 can be easily accomplished as follows:
-
- 1) Replace all existing copies of BBS.EXE with the new version.
- If you are running a multinode system, you must now run each node
- from a separate copy of BBS.EXE. This is necessary because
- TriBBS 2.1 now uses overlays to reduce overhead and failure to
- use multiple copies of BBS.EXE will result in sharing violations.
-
- 2) Copy the file TTPROT.EXE to a directory that is in your DOS
- PATH statement. It is very important that TTPROT be in your
- PATH. If it is not in your PATH, your callers will not be able
- to upload or download files.
-
- 3) Copy the file FILEMAN.EXE to your main TriBBS directory.
- FILEMAN is TriBBS's new file list manager program and there must
- be a copy of SYSDAT2.DAT in its directory for it to function
- properly.
