-
-
- Introduction
- -------------
-
- This door requires that you run Renegade v03-05 or higher. Allthough
- I haven't tested it with anything higher that v04-01. So I would wait until
- a new version comes out before you try running it. But it's your bbs, you
- can test it out yourself!
-
-
- New Features
- -------------
-
- - CTVSETUP.EXE has now been merged in with RGCTV.EXE, to execute the setup
- for RG-CTV type 'RGCTV /C'.
- - New opening screen.
- - New look to the whole game.
- - Defaults, the defaults for (Y/n) [yes or no] work great! If the letter
- is capitalized that means that the default is that command.
- - Colors changed a littl' bit.
- - Option to quit the game has been added.
-
-
- Command Lines
- --------------
-
- The following are the command line to enter in when loading the door.
-
- Example: RGCTV /PC:\RG
-
- That loads up Crack The Vault v1.1 and reads the dropfile that is in
- the path C:\RG.
-
-
- "/C" This tells RG-CTV to run the Setup/Configuration
- that should be ran at least once.
-
- "/L" This tells DoorDriver to load up in LOCAL
- mode. This is good for testing or when a sysop just wants
- to "try out" the door without messing with his BBS setup.
- The "/L" mode will ask the user for his name and run the
- door in local mode.
-
- "/S" This command will tell doordriver to load up
- in the Sysop FAST local mode. The only difference between
- this and "/L" above is that the sysop is not asked his
- name - it is plucked out of the control file
- automatically.
-
- "/Nx" (where x is 1..9) This specifies a "node
- number". Some bbs software support multinode environments
- in which you must know the node number of the drop file to
- use. For example, RBBS-PC uses DORINFOx.DEF. If you
- specified "/N2" then doordriver would use DORINFO2.DEF.
-
- "/Pyyy" This specifies the PATH to the drop files.
- For example, "/PC:\BBS" would tell DoorDriver to look for
- the drop files in C:\BBS.
-
- "/M" This is a generic maintenance mode. It logs
- into the game with the name "SYSTEM MAINT" in local mode.
- You can use it if your program requires a nightly
- maintenance or something similar.
-
-
- Installation
- -------------
-
- o If you run FRONT DOOR v2.02 -
- Load up your favorite EDITOR and edit your CONFIG.SYS, if you're running
- a FOSSIL driver in the CONFIG.SYS make sure that it DOESN'T lock the port.
- For some reason you have to do that..
-
- o Run DDSDOOR.EXE and that will take care of RGCTV.CTL file..
-
- o Run 'RGCTV /C' and that will take care of the RGCTV.CFG file..
-
- o Then for your BATCH file to load up this door should look somewhat
- like this:
-
- C:
- CD C:\RG\DOORS\CTV\RGCTV /PC:\RG
- CD\
- CD RG
-
-
- o Then you need to setup a DROPFILE for this door. Go into Renegade
- and pick one out. I suggest using DW for CALLINFO.BBS, it seems to
- work the best with this door. DO NOT USE DD FOR DORINFOX.DEF, IT
- WILL NOT WORK!
- o Now you're all setup! If you have any probs call the support bbs #
- that is given in the begining of the DOC file.
-
-
- Running A Nightly Maint
- ------------------------
-
- You'll need to make a BATCH file that enters this command in your door
- directory:
- RGCTV /M
-
- Make sure it does this EVERY NIGHT! Otherwise the users can't log on..
-
-
- How To Play
- ------------
-
- This game was made for you users, it's awards you TIME in your timebank
- and FILE POINTS! Object of the game is to guess the vault's combination
- that holds the gold in. It is a 4 digit number and you're prompted for all
- 4 digits at one time. You have 5 turns to guess at the combo. I made it
- alot easier than it was!
-
- i.e. Enter correct combination :
-
- You'll only be able to play this game once per day. If you win, your
- SysOp has configured a certian amount of TIME and FILE POINTS to award you
- with. If you lose you'll get a screen that says, "WRONG!" and it'll tell you
- what the numbers where that would have opened the safe. I hope you enjoy
- playing around with this door.
