- RGBUSY v1.2 for the RENEGADE BBS SYSTEM
-
- By Dave Spaulding
-
-
-
- The author of this program has taken every precaution to insure that
- no damage to your computer will result from running this program. However,
- there is NO WARRANTY or GUARANTEE that RGBUSY will operate correctly, nor
- is there any guarantee that there will be no damage to your system as a
- result of running RGBUSY. Use of RGBUSY is the sole obligation of the user!
-
- Make sure you take the proper precautions.
-
- With that said, there is virtually no chance of RGBUSY messing up anything.
- All it does is open your sysop*.log files (read-only).
-
- WHAT DOES IT DO:
-
- If your BBS is as busy as you like it to be, I bet that your users
- would like to know when the best time to call (on average) would be.
- RGBUSY creates a graphic of your HOURLY BBS USAGE for the the past
- X number of days (up to 99).
-
- For example, I have two bulletins on my board using RGBUSY. One graph
- shows Yesterday's hourly usage, and another shows the average hourly
- usage for the past week. My batch looks something like this:
-
- RGBUSY D:\BBS\LOGS\ 1
- COPY RGBUSY.MSG D:\BBS\MISC\BULLET1.MSG
-
- RGBUSY D:\BBS\LOGS\ 7
- COPY RGBUSY.MSG D:\BBS\MISC\BULLET2.MSG
-
-
- RUN INSTRUCTIONS:
-
- RGBUSY {path to your sysop*.log files} [# of days]
-
- The program creates a file called RGBUSY.MSG complete with pipe colors.
-
- If you like, you can change the default colors by creating/modifying
- the RGBUSY.CFG file. This file should contain 6 records, each two
- characters long. These two character are simply the two-digit color
- that you wish to use for each part of the bulletin. For example, the
- default colors if put in an RGBUSY.CFG file would look like this:
-
- 14
- 09
- 07
- 02
- 03
- 02
-
- The colors correspond to the different parts of the bulletin in the
- following order:
-
- TITLE
- SUB-TITLE
- LEFT MARGIN
- BOX
- GRAPH BARS
- LOWER MARGIN
-
-
- NOTES:
-
- - If you don't specify the number of days, it defaults to 3.
-
- - Be sure to include the closing \ character on your path specification.
-
- - Remember to set the number of log files to keep in your BBS sytem
- configuration >= to the # of days you wish to average.
-
- - Running RGBUSY without any parameters will show a brief example.
-
- - The program will work whether you strip MCI colors off your sysop
- log files or not.
-
- RGBUSY is freeware. If you like the program, pay me back by uploading your
- favorite program to my BBS:
-
- Electric Dreams
- (515) 277-2507 (this is Des Moines, IA)
- USR Dual Std.
