- Welcome to RADCD!
-
- Version 1.04 represents a Major Upgrade. Many things have been
- enhanced, and several new options have been added.
-
- This version is compatible with the Cowboy Software MASTER registration
- code.
-
- For previous users, a look at CHANGES.104 may be all you need.
- A comprehensive Help System is available via a menu, you can access it from
- the prompt by supplying any of the following, after the program name.
-
- Help Switches: RADCD ?, /?, /h, /help
-
- There are changed keywords, and also new keywords. Please refer to
- SAMPLE.CFG
-
- RemoteAccess Dropped Carrier Detector - Version 1.04
-
- Some MAJOR changes in configuration, and capability.
-
- I know you just want to fire it up, and get on to other things, but
- please, let me make a suggestion or two......
-
- Read CHANGES.104 !!!
- View Sample Config file !!!
- Read Manual !!!
-
-
- Version 1.04 adds multi-language support, and is available to all.
-
- It also adds support for modifying a callers security if they drop
- carrier more than the sysop defined maximum. This support includes:
- a) Security Modification
- b) Notice of Modification to User
- c) Notice of modification to Sysop
-
- Alas.... the security modification part is only available in Registered
- Mode. But the registration cost is VERY reasonable. See RADCD.REG
-
- All functions that were freely available in previous versions of RADCD,
- are still so. As well as the new multi-language support.
-
- Future versions/enhancements depend on use/registration by Sysops.
-
- This is the fourth of RADCD. This version is still subject to small bugs,
- ya know, something I missed, maybe had one eye closed or sumthin!!??
- Quite a few additions, and these breed those pesky little critters....
-
- If you discover a bug, please notify me as soon as you can, that's how they
- get fixed.
-
- The latest version may always be requested or downloaded from
- The RaLin Software BBS - Fremont, Ca.
-
- File Request MAGIC name is RADCD
-
- Electronic and Ground mail addressees are in RADCD.DOC
-
- See the file FILES.LST for files included, and required.
-
- Please, read the RADCD.DOC, you will just have problems if you don't.
- This is ESPECIALLY true if this is your first look at RADCD!!
-
- RADCD is pretty easy to use, but its also easy to use wrong, if you don't
- learn how to do it correctly, and that's what the DOC file is for!!
-
- Also carefully read the included sample RADCD.CFG, it is pretty heavily
- commented.
-
- Suggested Setup Steps
- 1. Modify sample config to suit your system and preferences.
- 2. Rename it to RADCD.CFG, make sure is in the EXE directory
- 3. If you have defined ANS/ASC screes(s), run RADCD -N to create
- new screens.
- 4. Setup your RA menu(s) to display the specified Drop Screens
- 5. Modify your BBS batch file to run RADCD after each caller
- 6. If you are upgrading from a previous version, earlier than 1.02
- you should ZAP the data file.
- 7. Insure that ALL RADCD support files are in the RADCD.EXE directory,
- creating a dedicated directory for RADCD is recommended.
-
- Thanks!
