  3. The Sysop: Chris Kringel of: The Foothills HAM BBS   (403 ) 283-1107
  4.                          in: Calgary, Alberta  Canada
  5.                              is running PCBoard Version 15.1
  6.                              on a 1.2  Giga Hard Drive.
  7.  
  8. He has the QRDB program installed for his users.
  9. If you like to install it on your PCBoard System
  10. Here is the way I have it set up.
  11.  
  12. 1.  Go to your ROOT Directory by typing  ---> CD\
  13.     then hit the ENTER key
  14.  
  15. 2.  Since you are now in the ROOT directory
  16.     type --->  MD\PCB\QRDB
  17.  
  18. 3.  Now copy ALL the files from the QRDB Distribution disk
  19.     in to the QRDB Sub Directory.
  20.  
  21. 4.  Now go in to the PCB Sub directory and create a BAT file
  22.     which looks like this: ( On my system I call it DATABASE )
  23.                            ( Remember no FILENAME EXTENSION  )
  24.                                            ECHO OFF
  25.                                            CD\PCB
  26.                                            C:\PCB\QRDB\QRDB
  27.                                            CD\PCB
  28.                                            BOARD
  29.  
  30. 5a.  Now go into PCBSETUP
  31. 5b.  Hit the I command for MAIN BOARD Configuration
  32. 5c.  Edit the DOORS.LST file by hitting  the F2 key
  33. 5d.  to look like this:

  35.   USER DOOR
  36.    Filename   Password   Sec   Login SYS  SYS  Shell  Path to Door Files
  37. ============= ========   ===   ===== ===  ===  =====  ==================
  38. 11.) DATABASE             30     N    N    Y     N    C:\PCB\

  40. 6.   NOW SAVE THIS SETUP   
  41. 7.   Add the following line to your AutoExec.Bat file
  42.      Set QRDB=C:\PCB\QRDB
  43.  
  44.                       You are FINISHED !

  46. If you like to see QRDB running on a PCBoard Version 15.1
  47. Call The Foothills HAM BBS at 403-283-1107
  48. use the following ID for FAST ENTRY
  49.  
  50.      First Name: VISITING
  51.       Last Name: SYSOP
  52.        Password: VISITOR
  53.  
  54. Then when you see the MAIN MENU SCREEN
  55. type the ---->  OPEN DATABASE
  56. then hit the ENTER key
  57.  
  58. Only before you log-off please
  59. Leave a comment to the Sysop telling him
  60. what the USERS ID is you will be using the next time you call.
  61. This will give the Sysop of The Foothills HAM BBS a chance to
  62. leave a personel message to you.
