  3.                              An OPUS PRIV.BBS editor

  5.        OPRIV will edit OPUS 1.00 *PRIV.BBS files. It is ONLY for use  with 
  6.        OPUS  1.00!!  In  order to sort out some of the  confusion  of  the 
  7.        changes  from OPUS 0.00 (or Fido) to OPUS 1.00, OPRIV will  create, 
  8.        edit  and write a series of default *PRIV.BBS files for OPUS  1.00, 
  9.        which are NOT the same as those used by OPUS 0.00, if the *PRIV.BBS 
  10.        files it expects are shorter than those that OPUS 1.00 uses or  are 
  11.        missing.

  13.        To use, just call OPRIV from whatever directory has your  *PRIV.BBS 
  14.        files,  there are no command line parameters at this time. Help  is 
  15.        in  the lower left-hand corner of the screen. One  important  thing 
  16.        you  have to understand before you start editing the  strings  that 
  17.        describe  the commands is that the ORDER of those commands is  what 
  18.        decides what will happen, not the first letter of the command.  For 
  19.        example  the first command from the MAIN Menu will always  lead  to 
  20.        the  message areas. It doesn't matter if you call it  the  default, 
  21.        "M)essage  section" or "R)ead Messages" or translate it to  another 
  22.        language,  "L)ea"  in Spanish for example,  but  you'll  definitely 
  23.        confuse  your  users if you make it "F)ile Section",  because  OPUS 
  24.        will  take the user to the message section no matter what you  call 
  25.        the  command or what the first letter is although the first  letter 
  26.        is what the user will press to take them to the message section.

  28.        Its  just  that simple. Have fun, and don't  expect  any  startling 
  29.        changes,  *PRIV.BBS  files are on the "hit list" for OPUS  2.00  so 
  30.        there's not much point in devoting a lot of time to this program.
