- Offline Mail Executive is an evolving package, and even with the features it
- currently provides, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. Here is a partial
- list of the changes and enhancements scheduled for future releases of OMX:
-
- * Support for multiple mail packet formats, in addition to the Blue
- Wave format. This would ideally include QWK, QWK II, and X.NET,
- of which the latter two are still in development. (Such support
- would undoubtedly be reserved for a registered-only, or "deluxe"
- package.)
-
- * Add support for Internet E-mail and Usenet newsgroups.
-
- * Allow positioning of individual entries in the Message Area,
- Keyword, and Filter Managers.
-
- * Add more flexible stripping of information from messages during
- mail packet creation.
-
- * Add maximum-per-area and maximum-per-packet message limits for
- mail packet creation.
-
- * Add global updating of information in the Message Area, Keyword,
- and Filter Managers.
-
- * Add NetMail cost support during processing of reply packets.
- Support for multiple nodelist formats (Version 6, Version 7,
- FrontDoor, and perhaps a proprietary format) would ideally be
- supported.
-
- * Allow specification of separate mail and reply packet directories
- for each user.
-
- * Allow support for more than two users, with users configured in a
- manner similar to the Message Area, Keyword, and Filter Managers.
-
- If you have any suggestions to add to this list, please don't hesitate to
- let us know!
