-
- 08/03/93 MT-Matrix (v1.10)
- ---------------------------
-
- - Fixed some minor cosmetic oops
-
- - Slight adjustments in the code using the latest available
- PPL compiler. (optimized the code some more, applied some
- new/better programming techniques to some existing features)
- Results: Matrix now runs faster -----!
-
- - Added an External PPE launcher module to the matrix. Sysops
- can now create new commands / programs and just run them as
- matrix commands.
-
- - Added Logic to DEDUCT whatever Time it was added to caller
- via the Matrix.CNF option: ADD TIME AT MATRIX LOGIN
-
- - Added new command CHKMAIL <or whatever is defined in COMMANDS.CNF>
- This commands lets callers check the PUBLIC msg file for mail
- addressed to them.
-
- - Added a new command CHKSYS <or whatever is defined in COMMANDS.CNF>
- Lets the SYSOPS check for new mail in the SYSOP Msg file.
-
- - Added bulletins, and a new drive D: see DRIVES.CNF for more info.
-
- - Found a problem with CHECK command. If a caller had used a
- (,) or a (.) in their names then it wouldn't find their proper
- entry in the users file <provided the caller existed to begin
- with> FIXED!
-
- - Matrix can now run other PPE files via any display file. Just
- insert a call to a ppe using the ! command, in any of the display
- files.
-
- - Found a problem with the POST public message. If a caller
- entered a MSG TO: Name other then ALL then that was not
- reflected at save time and regardless of whatever other name
- the caller entered the msg to be addressed to, matrix always
- displayed; Saving messaged addressed to: ALL. FIXED! Matrix
- will now insert the proper name which was used during the
- MSG TO: Name entry.
-
- - Added complete Matrix LOG file to /Standard version <previously
- this was a /Deluxe version feature ONLY>. Matrix will now
- properly create a NODE1.LOG, NODE2.LOG, NODE3.LOG etc... in other
- words <just like PCBoard> Matrix will keep a log file for each
- node running under. Full monitoring for matrix activities are
- logged onto the NODE LOG files including Caller Name (IF AVAILABLE)
- (DATE / TIME Connected to matrix) (CONNECT SPEED / Carrier)
- what graphics mode the caller logged onto the matrix and just
- about everything else that a caller can do at the matrix prompt.
-
- - Added a new feature / command -> SYSOP. From within the SYSOP
- module you may run MSG Maintenance, View the Matrix Callers Log
- files. Other sysop features which will be added to the matrix
- in the future will also be placed inside this module.
-
- - Sysop Message Maintenance is now included in a seperate module,
- command named SYSOP <or whatever else you might want to choose
- for a command name>. The previous version of MT-Matrix had the
- Sysop Msg Maintenance built into the READSYS feature/command.
- This was changed due to many of you asking for it to be a seperate
- feature, as some some sysops like to give READ SysOp Feedback mail
- priveledges to Co-Sysops, but do not wish to give them access to
- actually deleting any of the msg files. <This feature is password
- protected as well> {Also see note below re: bug fix to DELETE
- Msg Maintenance}
-
- - Found a bug with the Sysop Msg Maintenance. It would ask if the
- Sysop wanted to delete the Sysop.msg file and prompt with a Y/n
- prompt, then would procede with asking if sysop wanted to kill
- public.msg file, and show another Y/n prompt, well if answering
- NO to killing Sysop.Msg file then even though you could answer
- Yes to kill Public.msg file, it would not work correct. FIXED!
-
- - Number of lines for both the POST Public Msg and SEND FEEDBACK to
- Sysops are now configurable/definable via Line 19 in Matrix.CNF
- file. This had been a request as some sysops complained that the
- previous 99 line max limit was too much and was encouraging some
- users to post huge Feedback msgs without being necessary. Well
- if 99 lines for the editors is too much, just edit line 20 in
- matrix.cnf file and specify whatever amount of lines you would
- like to use (NOTE! No more then 99 lines is recommended!!!)
- But the setting can indeed be whatever you would like.
