- And now some more interesting stuff, how to use MaintTop.
-
- MaintTop is a program to show The Users the Upload, Download,
- Upload/Download ratio and Callers Top Ten. The result will be
- written directly through the FOSSIL using the baudrate that the
- FOSSIL was initialized with.

- The fossil driver must be of at least revision 5.
-

- MaintTop was made to use the Maximus v 2.0x user and prm file, if
- your user file is incompatible with the one Maximus does use it's
- just bad luck.
-
- MaintTop will by default show users with an access level below
- AsstSysop.
-
- The Upload Ratio option will only use those users who have
- downloaded more than 50 kilo bytes. The Download Ratio option
- will show users who has uploaded 1 kilo byte or more.
-
- Here is the command syntax:
-
- MaintTop <Command> <PrmFile> [<Flags> [<flags> [...]]]
-
- <Command> : Command describing which top ten to be showed. You
- may use one of these:
- '?' : Short help.
- 'C' : 'Callers Top Ten.' will show the ten most
- active users from the User.BBS file.
- 'D' : 'Downloaders Top Ten.' will show those ten
- most heavy downloaders.
- 'R' : 'Upload/Download Ratio.' will show a list of
- those users, that has the highest upload
- percentage.
- 'B' : 'Download/Upload Ratio.' will show a list of
- those users, that has the highest Download
- percentage.
- 'U' : 'Uploaders Top Ten.' will show a list of the
- users has uploaded most kilobytes to your
- system.
- 'X' : 'Download Top Ten of Today.'
- 'Y' : 'Upload Top Ten of Today.'
- 'Z' : 'Download-Upload Top Ten of Today.' will show
- a list of users which has the biggest file
- flow of the system.
- 'S' : Some System information.
- 'P' : Some Current user information.
- 'I' : This option is a bit special, if you decide to
- use the 'X' or 'Y' option you must run the
- program with i the 'I' option to store some
- user data in the file 'MaintTop.DAT'.
- You must be sure this option is used by all
- users as soon as they are online.
- 'IT': Same as 'I', but will generate a LASTUS??.TMP
- as a copy of the LASTUS??.BBS file..
- 'IL': Make entry in Max 2.0x logfile with the
- current user language. This log Entry may be
- used by X_List ver 2.13 or later.

- 'IU': Add a log entry with information of Username
- of the current user to the Max.Log file.
- 'IA': Add a log entry with information of any alias
- for the user online to the Max.Log file.
- 'ITL' combines IT and IL. 'ILUA' will combine the
- IL, IU and IA options.. Choose any combination
- of Ixxxx option you may wish/need..

- <PrmFile> : Path and Name of the .PRM file for Maximus.
- The extension '.PRM' are default.
-
- <Flags> : If you need to change some of the defaults you may
- add on or more flags.
- /N<Num> : If you want another Top list than the
- Top Ten you may specify a number here
- in the range 2 to 15.
- /H<Priv> : Highest privilege shown in the
- listings, the default is Extra, but you
- may use any of these (Twit, Disgrace,
- Limited, Normal, Worthy, Privil,
- Fawored, Extra, Asstsysop, Sysop,
- Hidden)
- /L<Priv> : Lowest privilege shown, default is
- Twit, look above for privileges.
- /D<KByte>: Min KB Download to be in Upload Ratio.
- /U<KByte>: Min KB Upload to be in Download Ratio.
- /F : Include freefiles and Dupes (Only for
- X_list users, uses the system user
- Harold Ackermann, as freefiles
- downloads, and dupes as uploads).
- /K : Force Keyboard active when carrier is
- detected.
- /S<Skips>: Use this to point to a textfile
- containing the users which should not
- be included in the statistics (max 50
- users may be skipped).
- /E : Skip the 'Press Enter' questions.
- /P : Use percentage instead of xx:1 in the
- ratio tops, and user and system info.
- /P<Dec> : Number of decimals in xx.yy:1 in ratio
- tops, system and user info. (0-2).
- /A : Force non ANSI mode.
- /T<task> : Use alternate Tasknumber. If you need
- to use a the one specified in the Prm
- file, you may optionally use this flag.
- /X : X00 mode (Due to some problems using
- some versions of X00, this option was
- added to make will make MaintTop more
- general usable).

- the version I used for OPUS 1.03 suddenly expired, and forced me
- to do something. A few days later the first beta version of
- OpintTop was born, the first MaintTop was a clone of the OpalTop
- program.

- When I decided to switch BBS system from Opus 1.14 to Maximus
- 2.0, some modifications was need to make OpintTop run along with
- the Maximus file formats... And MaintTop was reality...
