  3. The file SWITCH is provided to change all alias names back to original
  4. prior to doing any operations on the users/users.inf files.
  5.  
  6. RUN SWITCH prior to starting any operations which will involve the use 
  7. of the " Users Info File Maintenance selection " or any operation which
  8. involves the users file such as sorting,packing or editing the file.
  9.  
  10. Failure to run switch prior to performing any of the above operations 
  11. will change all user names who have logged off with thier Alias Names 
  12. to become permanant in place of the Users Original name.

  14. (This is a good reason to run switch in your $$LOGOFF.BAT file)

  16. THE FIX

  19. If by chance you do forget to run the Switch program prior to performing
  20. any of the operations listed above, and the user has not attempted to
  21. relog on with his real name again, follow this procedure:
  22.  
  23.        1. Go to the INCOGNITO Directory and run SWITCH properly
  24.        2. Run PCBSM and SORT the Users Database
  25.        3. Recheck your users database and ensure it was rebuilt properly
  26.        
  27. This should take care of any problems that you encounter, However the safest 
  28. bet is to run switch first...
  29.  
  30. If a user logs off with thier alias name and then re-registers again,
  31. Incognito will not know the difference. Switch will find the real name and
  32. ensure that it is marked appropriately. The worst that should happen is that
  33. the users alias will end up in your users file.
