  9.          Thank you for Using IGENE... InterBBS Genealogy Database and Research
  10. BBS Door Program.  Depending on how your SysOp has his/her system set up, Data
  11. entered can be transfered to other BBSes across the world.  To insure a
  12. diversified Genealogical database, please pass along the shareware version of
  13. this program to other SysOps and encourage your SysOp to also pass along the
  14. shareware version of this program.

  16.          Igene provides the most flexible fixed and free form online
  17. Genealogical database entry and search available today.

  19.          Personal Genealogical Entry and Search - This part of the program is
  20. a "fixed form" database.  You will be able to enter personal historical data
  21. about yourself or any member of your family.  Some data is optional such as
  22. telephone number and social security number.  The main purpose for this part
  23. of Igene is to enter data about yourself or your family members.  Other
  24. researchers could possibly be seeking data about your family "tree" and will
  25. know who to contact to gather more information.

  27.          Free Form Genealogical Entry and Search - This section is similar to
  28. the Personal Database except you have 100 lines to enter a Genealogical record.
  29. It can be in Gedcom, Tiny Taffel or whatever format you wish as long as it
  30. pertains to genealogy.

  32.          Classified Ads - Here you can enter genealogical classified ads
  33. such as request for data, genealogical leads, books, services, etc.

  35.          Picture Database Entry and Search - In this section you can upload
  36. important genalogical graphic files such as Family portraits, deeds, birth
  37. certificates, etc. in .gif, .bmp, .pcx , etc. format.

  39.          Network Query Search - If this BBS is participating in a Network of
  40. Igene programs then you can send a query to search other BBSes for a
  41. particular record.  If found, the searched BBS will send you a message back
  42. that you will receive and have a chance to download when you log back on to
  43. Igene.
