~* * *  T H E  P L A Y  * * *

~  Idiot's Delight is a solitaire card game which is fun to play and easy
to learn. It's played with a standard 52 count deck of cards. Play begins
with four cards being dealt face up to begin the foundation of the needed
four rows.  The object of the game is to deal and remove cards from these
four rows removing  forty-eight cards  and leaving only  the Ace's on the
foundation rows.

   Removing cards envolves Suit, Rank and  Position of the cards.  Remove
cards from another row of lesser rank, Aces ranking high, and of the same
suit of any other card  that is the top card of any row.  For example, if
the first four card are:

~  You may also let the deal fill any rows containing no cards. The use of
these blank rows tend to play an important roll in winning.  There is also
a Free Card feature to the game.  This allows you to play a  card from any
row at any time. This feature  is available once per hand.  Play continues
until either you play the lesser 48 cards  leaving only the Ace's or until
you have no more plays remaining.

~* * *  W I N N I N G  H A N D S  * * *

~  Even though the  Sysop sets the  number of  hands a day, this limit may
be exceeded by winning hands.  You win hands by removing Forty-Five of the
possible Forty-Eight cards.  Also another extra hand may be won by winning
the game by removing all Forty-Eight cards. Winning extra hands is limited
to Ten hands minus the number of hands allowed by the Sysop. If the Sysop
allows Three hands per day then Seven hands may be won for that day.



~* * *  F E A T U R E S  * * *

~  The game keeps record of an All Time Champion, Monthly Champion and of
all Daily Champions.  Daily Champions  are those that score's the highest
score for a single day,  and they recieve 5000 bonus points for doing so.
Daily Champions can  also be dethroned  by any player making up  that day
and scoring a higher score.  In this case the 5000 points will be removed
from the old champions score and added to the new champions score.

~  Idiot's Delight will allow Make-Up Days and  Playing Ahead Days in the
registered version.  This will allow  you to make up those  days that you
miss and play ahead days  that you may not be able to play. The number of
make-up days allowed per day are also set by the sysop.

~* * *  S C O R I N G  * * *

~  Each card removed from a row  score's 100 Points. Bonus' are also given
when the 13th, 26th, 39th and  48th (Won Game) cards are  removed from the
rows. These score 1,000 (One Thousand), 2,000 (Two Thousand), 3,000 (Three
Thousand) and 5,000 (Five Thousand) respectively.


~* * *  T O U R N A M E N T   M O D E  * * *

~  Idoit's Delight is played  as a Tournament style game. Meaning that the
cards are pre-shuffled at the beginning of each month so that every player
will recieve the  exact same shuffle.  This basically means that the score
you get will reflect your skill of play and not the luck of the draw.
