- ==========================================================================
-
- The files contained in this ZIP will performed automated mail transfers
- to/from the QWKREP and GAPNET function of GAP BBS. These can be started
- manually or from within an event.
-
- TELIX NOTE!!!: Remember to compile the .SLT (salt) scripts once you have
- finished editing them. (i.e., CS filename.slt)
-
-
- HCSEVENT.BAT - Example event batch file that can be called from a
- GAP BBS event. This should be place in the directory
- that holds your event batch files and/or pointed to
- by the path entry in the GAPSETUP "event configuration"
- screen. This should be edited to match your system.
- The file calls GAPNET to export mail packets, starts
- the Telix or Qmodem dialing scripts, and then imports the
- QWK packet. It may also be called from the DOS command
- line to perform a mail transfer whenever desired. You
- must give this file a unique name for each system if you
- are calling several BBS's.
-
- CALLHCS.SLT - This file invokes Telix and autodials the phone book
- (.SLC) number(s) selected in the 1st parameter of the "redial"
- function in this script. For instance, if a BBS's
- name and number are the 3rd and 4th in your Telix
- dialing directory, you would edit the "redial()"
- function to: redial("3 4", 0);
- Telix will be loaded and the dialing will be dialed
- until a connection is made. This file should be given
- a UNIQUE name for each BBS called from the Telix
- phone directory. This file should be place in the
- "script" directory that is specified in your Telix
- configuration.
-
- HCSNET.SLT - This script should be entered in the "linked script"
- (.SLC) field of the Telix dialing directory. It will be called
- when a connection is made. It will then automatically
- login, perform all mail transfers, and then logoff.
- You must edit this script to reflect your correct name
- and password for login. This file should also be placed
- in your Telix "Script" directory.
-
- HCSNET.SCR - This is the netmail script for Qmodem. You must edit
- some of the fields with your text editor as directed
- by the comments inside the script. For instance, you
- must enter you name, password, and the Netmail ID of
- the BBS you are calling for mail. When Qmodem is called
- from the HCSEVENT.BAT file, it will call this file as it's
- control script automatically.
-
- HCS-NET.SCR - This is another alternative Qmodem script written using
- Qmodem's "Quick Learn" feature. It is more simple and
- straightforward. Either Script may be used to run
- automated mail runs with the Qmodem Comm Program.
-
- If you need any additional help, feel free to call HCS BBS at the numbers
- listed above and leave me a message.
