- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- FJDATA is a database compiling utility program for the FedJobs Door Program
- from T&J Software. The latest version of either program can be obtained
- by calling The T&J Software BBS at (717) 325-9481 - 3 Nodes - 28.8k, by
- EMail at tjsoft@postoffice.ptd.net, or by Fido at 1:268/400.
-
- FJDATA is designed to compile the data from a file called ALL_REGN.ZIP - this
- file is readily available from various locations on the internet including
- the following location: ftp://ftp.fedworld.gov/pub/jobs/all_regn.zip
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Basic Operation:
-
- 1. Unzip the ALL_REGN.ZIP file in the same directory as FJDATA.EXE.
-
- 2. Run FJDATA.EXE using the command line '2' (i.e. FJDATA 2).
-
- 3. FJDATA will create two files JOBS.DAT and JOBS.DA2, both these files
- should be copied into your FedJobs directory.
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Command Line Options:
-
- There is only one command line available to FJDATA.EXE.
-
- FJDATA <lines to strip>
-
- <lines to strip> is the total number of lines from the TOP of each
- text file to strip. If you look at one of the files in the ALL_REGN.ZIP
- file you'll see what I mean by this. Normally, these files will have two
- lines of text which need to be stripped off the top of each file. If at
- some point in the future OPM decides to add another line or remove a line
- just make the adjustment in the FJDATA command line.
