- ┌──────────┐ ─ ── ──┐
- │ ■ FDIO ■ │ INTRODUCTiON│
- └──────────┘ ── ─ ─ ── ─┘
-
- This program creates two output ANSi screens telling the
- INBOUND/OUTBOUND calls of your FRONT DOOR/INTERMAIL Front-End
- mailer.
-
- A friend asked me for a program just like this one, exactly
- ANSi configured in this manner, therefore I made it!
- But I am also making it available for others. The newer version is
- much more attractive and now supports all BBS programs.
-
- This program generates two screens, FDIO-IN.ANS and FDIO-OUT.ANS,
- and can be configured to be shown to the user according to your BBS
- software.
-
-
- ┌──────────┐ ── ──┐
- │ ■ FDIO ■ │ WARRANTY │
- └──────────┘ ─ ─ ── ─┘
-
- This program has been tested and re-tested and is totally
- harmless. Nevertheless, the author cannot be held
- responsible for any undesired action caused by it. Use
- it at your own risk.
-
- This is program is spread under the FREEWARE ideal. You
- may use it and spread it as far and as much as possible as
- you wish. But only in its un-altered form and with the
- FDIO.DOC included.
-
-
-
- ┌──────────┐ ─ ── ──┐
- │ ■ FDIO ■ │ BUG FIXES │
- └──────────┘ ─ ─ ── ─┘
-
- The following bug fixes are included in FDIO 1.1:
-
- o If time had only one digit, it would come out:
- 1:3 instead of 01:03.
-
- o Was designed with RA in mind, and RA CLR SCR code and
- ENTER code. Now can be used in any system.
-
- o Created 2 files instead of one.
-
- o Improved visual aspect.
-
-
-
- ┌──────────┐ ─ ── ──┐
- │ ■ FDIO ■ │ EXECUTION │
- └──────────┘ ─ ─ ── ─┘
-
- You will probably want to run this program every time your
- mailer calls/receives a call, or in anightly maintenace event.
- In your BBS.BAT, make sure you have the following lines:
-
- C:
- CD\FDIO\
- FDIO C:\FDIO\FDIO.CTL
- ────░────────────────
- .EXE░Path and name to .CTL file
-
-
- Now, the key element for success with FDIO is properly configuring
- the .CTL file. Here is a example:
-
- ┌──[■] FDIO.CTL ∙─────────────────────────────────────┐
- │ │
- │ C:\BBS\TXTFILES\ │
- │ NO │
- │ 2 │
- │ C:\FD\ │
- │ │
- └─────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
-
- The first line is the EXACT PATH to where the ANSi's created are to
- be placed. !NOTICE! That the directory has to have the "\" at the
- end, or else FDIO will not function!
-
- The second line is to determine whether or not you are using FRONT
- DOOR mL. If you ARE using it, then place 'YES' in this line, ALL
- CAPS, and therefore FDIO will look for INB?.HIS and OUTB?.HIS files
- instead of the regular INBOUND.HIS and OUTBOUND.HIS. If you are
- NOT using FRONT DOOR mL set this line to 'NO'. [mL stands for the
- commercial version of FRONT DOOR, "MULTI-LINE"].
-
- The third line is to determine the number of %TASK%'s you are
- using, FDIO accepts up to 10 %TASK%'s. If you do NOT have FRONT
- DOOR mL running, ignore this line!
-
- The 4th and last line is to determine where the ?.HIS files are to
- be found. Also notice that the "\" is to be added at the end, for
- an accurate path! Usually 'C:\FD\' or 'C:\IM\.'
-
- Then its up to your BBS program to choose a menu option where your
- BBS will show the screen with a ENTER PROMPT when done.
-
-

- │ ■ FDIO ■ │ THANKS │
- └──────────┘ ─ ── ─┘
-
- Special thanks goes out to Eric Staufer of THE CONCESSION
- STAND in Florida (if you haven't called this BBS, do it
- now!), for he was the one that totally customized this
- program, and requested it from me. Well, here it is!
- Oh yeah, changed it to look a little better.
