- This is a short text file that tells you of the various things
- you will need to get CSPro up and running as quick as possible.
- You still should browse the CSPRO.DOC file because there is a lot
- of information this file will not cover.
-
- DEMO KEY - The first thing you will need is a DEMO key to run
- CSPro with. There is only two places these keys can
- be obtained. The Software Connection (913) 271-2073
- or The City Limits BBS (913) 357-7552. DEMO keys
- are not freqable, you must login to one of these
- systems to get it.
-
-
- Archivers - You will need all the various archivers that you
- wish to support. At minimum we suggest you at least
- have PKZIP, PKUNZIP, ARJ, and LZH. These are the
- most popular archivers in the BBS world. All of the
- latest version's are available on either support
- BBS.
-
- A Version
- of SCAN - Although most any virus scanner will work with CSPro
- we have tested CSPro with SCAN.EXE from McAfee. You
- can always download the latest version of SCAN from
- either of the support BBS's. The latest version as
- of this writing is Scan version 108 SCANV108.ZIP
-
-
- Whats Next?
-
- The ideal setup would be to make a CSPRO directory and UNZIP
- everything into that directory. If you do it another way then
- understand what your doing. If you do not setup the program the
- way that we suggest to do it, then your chances of getting it to
- run first time will be decreased. We are telling you basically how
- to do this to help you get CSPro running as quickly as possible
- and to cut down Tech calls to us. CSPro has been beta tested,
- and wide scale tested by over 100 people. We know it works if it
- is setup correctly. The next step would be to add CSPRO to your
- path statement, and if you are currently running CatScan (Version
- 1.3 or earlier) then you can take CATSCAN out of your path now,
- you won't be needing it anymore.
-
-
- SCANFILE.BAT
-
- This BAT file is what causes most of the support calls, if
- your SCANFILE.BAT does not look like the example then please try
- it like our example before calling for support. To create your
- SCANFILE.BAT go to your WC30 directory and delete SCANFILE.BAT if
- it is there, and then create it using an ASCII editor. There
- should be only one line in this BAT file.
-
-
- CSPRO %1
-
-
- * NOTE * NEVER CALL CSPRO WITH THE DRIVE AND DIRECTORY OF
- CSPRO.EXE FOR EXAMPLE C:\CSPRO\CSPRO.EXE THIS WILL
- CAUSE CSPRO TO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY.
-
- If you are having problems getting CSPro to work then verify you
- are running CSPRO this way before calling us. We have made this
- as simple as it can ever get, so again please do not make it
- harder than it is.
-
-
- Let me make some other suggestions as well incase you are having
- problems. We have a support echo (or message base if you
- will) that is carried by many BBS's and chances are the question
- your wanting to ask us has already been answered in this echo. I
- would suggest that you use TOMCAT and download all the mail
- from confrence 4 (GO Product Support on GOMail, TVPro and CSPro).
- Once you get the QWK packet to your system of all the messages in
- that conference either read all the messages or do a search for
- the particular problem that your having. Using this method you
- can answer your questions yourself in under 15 minutes.
