  24. How to Read Ads?

  26. If you're in Ansi mode, from the Main Menu use the U key for Up and D key for
  27. Down to move the lite bar over the desired classification.  Press Enter when you
  28. have the lite bar over the desired classification.  You will then be shown a
  29. region menu.  Use the same methods as above to navigate (The letters in Red).
  30. Once you have the lite bar over the desired region press enter.  If you're using
  31. ascii then select numbers and letters in [Brackets].

  33. How to Post Ads?
  34. ----------------
  35. From the Main or Secondary reading menu; select the letter in Red or Brackets
  36. for Post an Ad.  You will be given the opportunity to select classification and
  37. region.  Then you will be asked the subject of your ad, your Internet Address
  38. (if you have one.  For example mine is jwoody@traveller.com), your web sit
  39. (if you have one.  For example mine is http://www.hsv.tis.net/~jwoody), an
  40. opportunity to upload a rip screen of what you're advertising (there are one
  41. or two programs around that will convert pcx files to rip) and/or a .gif
  42. screen (which is used by many web browsers).  Finally is contact information
  43. and the ad itself.  You'll have 10 lines of 75 characters with which to place
  44. your ad.  Pressing enter on a blank line and then P to post or A to abort
  45. completes your advertisement.

  47. How do I get to Advertise on the One Line Billboard?

  53. You can check for new Ads since your last visit at the main menu.
  54. You can delete any and/or all ads you have entered at the main menu.

  56. What is Retrieving and Marking HTML?
  57. ------------------------------------
  58. HTML is markup language for the internet web browsers.  You'll need to have at
  59. least a fundemental knowledge of what the world wide web is and the internet
  60. for this to make any sense to you.  While reading ads, you can [M]ark the ad
  61. for HTML retrieval.  Multiple ads can be marked.  Then, at the main menu you
  62. can select Retrieve HTML.  You will need to have the zmodem protocol in your
  63. terminal program.  Once you select retrieve an instruction screen will appear
  64. and Advertise it will create HTML on the fly and send the code + any graphics
  65. files to you.  You can then view them offline with a web browser, view them
  66. online with a web browser (if the advertiser has an email or website you can
  67. visit them while online with your web browser!).
