  1.   Chat Manager enables you to chat with multiple other users at the
  2.   same time. It also enables you to download at the same time using
  3.   the CMP external protocol (ask your sysop!).
  4.  
  5.   As you start, you will see a screen listing all chats and their
  6.   status. Select a chat by pressing it's key [A, B , C..]
  7.  
  8.   Selecting an empty chat will start a new one. If the subject wasn't
  9.   fixed you will be asked to enter a subject. Then you'll have to wait
  10.   until another user decides to join your chat. You could also list
  11.   the users present in the BBS and ask or force them to enter Chat
  12.   Manager.

  14.   Everything you type in your window will be immediatly visible by all
  15.   other chatters. Backspace and Enter can be used. Try a little, and
  16.   you will get the feeling.

  18.   Pressing Escape gives you a menu with some options;
  19.  
  20.   [O] Send a private One-liner, sends a private message to a specific
  21.       BBSline within your Chat!
  22.  
  23.   [D] Download, enter filenames (wildcards allowed) of files you would
  24.       like to download. Seperate them with spaces. CMP Protocol needed!

  26.   [C] Cancel Download, only available when a download is in progress
  27.  
  28.   [I] Information display, gives you a review of some data including time
  29.       left on BBS, subject of the chat and whether the chat is private.
  30.  
  31.   [N] New subject, allows a subjectchange that will inform possible new
  32.       chatters looking for a chat what your (new) subject is.
  33.  
  34.   [T] Toggle private chat, Allow or disallow the admittance of new users
  35.       to your chat.

  37.   [P] Page the sysop. If this is enabled, you can page the sysop and
  38.       if he is at home, he will probably join your chat within a few
  39.       moments.

  41.   [M] Messages Submenu

  43.    [O] Send a private One-liner, sends a private message to a specific
  44.        BBSline within your Chat!

  47.    [S] Save as message. This saves all text in your window as a message
  48.        to another user. Enter his name very carefully, or he will never
  49.        receive the message. Screen is cleared after saving. Use SYSOP
  50.        to save it to the Sysop. Below a certain userlevel you will only
  51.        be able to write to the sysop and not to other users.

  53.   [W] Window Submenu

  55.    [R] Redraw your screen. Use this if your screen is messy because of a
  56.        bad line or something like that.
  57.  
  58.    [E] Empty window, clears your window and relocates your cursor at the
  59.        top.

  61.   [L] Leave the Chat, return to the main screen.

  63.   Avatar and Ansi are strongly recommended. Also the use of CMP, the
  64.   Chat Manager Protocol is very useful. This protocol can be downloaded
  65.   as CMP*.*. It enables you to download during chats, hear the sysop's
  66.   paging tunes and use Avatar with non-avatar BBS's and communication
  67.   programs.
