  4. This is a general guide to the files included in CDORxxxx.ZIP.
  5.  
  6. NEW INSTALLATION:
  7. -----------------
  8. If this is a first time installation of the CDor mods, please take time to read
  9. CDOOR.DOC and follow the directions therein.  There are a LOT of things that 
  10. must be done to get a working version.  This is no easy task and will take a 
  11. couple nites.  Take your time, and you should have no problems.  Jump into it 
  12. all without reading anything or just quickly scanning what I took quite a while 
  13. to write, and you WILL have problems!
  14.  
  15. UPGRADING:
  16. ----------
  17. If you are updating from a previous version of the CDor mods, please review
  18. the WHATSNEW file for important information pertaining to this version that has
  19. changed since the last version you have.  Further information will always be
  20. located towards the END of the CDOOR.DOC file.

  22. DISCLAIMER:
  23. -----------
  24. I do not make any gurantees that these mods will work.  They DO work on my
  25. computer just great.  If anything goes wrong, it's all your fault, and I am
  26. not responsible for your actions or my mods on your system nor responsible
  27. for any loss whatsoever.  But seriously, they HAVE been tried straight from
  28. these MRG files and BAT files before being released.  All bugs I am aware of
  29. are documented in the file BUGS.BUG.  All BUGS discovered inbetween versions
  30. |are posted, usually with FIXES in the CDOOR echo (see CDORECHO.DOC).

  32. BE UP-TO-DATE!

  34. The latest version of CDORxxxx.ZIP is always available from the Cellar Door RBBS
  35. at (505) 763-1795 except between the hours of 2am - 3am MST.  The File is also
  36. FREQable with the magic name of CDOR from 8:903/2 and 1:313/6.

  38. IF YOU NEED HELP
  39. ----------------
  40. I try to help anyone who asks.  If you need help, call the BBS at the above
  41. number or send netmail to me and I will answer.  If you send netmail, I may
  42. or may not netmail you back (depends on the budget!).
  43. Give a about 24 hours before you poll for a reply.  If my system cannot connect
  44. with your system, your reply will be on hold until a time I decide that you
  45. |are not going to poll back and your netmail reply will be removed.

  47. THE CDOOR ECHOMAIL CONFERENCE:

  49. I have set up an Echomail conference dedicated to helping as best I can anyone
  50. who asks about RBBS in general and these mods specifically.  If you would like
  51. to get this echo in FidoNet technology message format only, then NETMAIL your
  52. desire to 1:313/6 or 8:903/2 and you will be set right up.
