  9.     This short documentation file contains instructions for both NEW and
  10.     UPGRADE installations.  Please read the appropriate section in this
  11.     document carefully before attempting to install the mail door.  A "What's
  12.     New" section is included at the end of this file.

  20.     TELEGARD 2.99 GAMMA COMPATIBILITY NOTES
  21.     =======================================

  23.     This version of the mail door is designed to work with Telegard 3.0.  At
  24.     the time this documentation was written, Telegard 3.0 was not yet
  25.     available.  Instead, public Gamma copies with a version number of 2.99
  26.     were being issued.  The mail door *will* work with Telegard v2.99 Gamma-2
  27.     and higher.  Telegard 2.7 and earlier versions are not supported with
  28.     this mail door.

  30.     If you are using Telegard 2.99 Gamma-1, you must upgrade to 2.99 Gamma-2
  31.     or later.  This is because Gamma-1 used a file called CONFRENC.DAT, and
  32.     all newer versions use a file called GROUPS.DAT.  If, for some reason,
  33.     you do not want to upgrade from Gamma-1, you may copy the file
  34.     \TG\DATA\CONFRENC.DAT to \TG\DATA\GROUPS.DAT.  Both files use the same
  35.     format -- they simply have different file names.

  48.     UPGRADE INSTALLATIONS

  51.     It is normally our policy to provide an upgrade conversion utility
  52.     to move up from earlier versions of the mail door.  Unfortunately, the
  53.     source code and data file formats from the previous version (2.70) were
  54.     lost.  Therefore, no upgrade utility is available.

  56.     This means that you will have to install the mail door into an empty
  57.     directory, using the instructions in Chapter 5 of BWMAIL.DOC.  We are
  58.     sorry for the inconvenience.
