- PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- The BBS List maintains a listing of other Bulletin Board Systems. A user
- may add a new listing, edit a listing or delete a listing. The user can only
- edit or delete a listing the they have added. The system operator has complete
- control and may edit or delete a listing at any time. A Registered SysOp is
- allowed to delete listing that are older that a given date.
- The User may search the database of listings for a matching Area Code. If
- found the Information is display one at a time until all have been listed.
- The User may download a file named BBS.TXT which is a complete listing of
- all the BBS Listings. NOTE: the Shareware file DSZ.COM must be present in
- the BBS List Directory. BBSLIST Download supports Zmodem, YModem, or XModem
- transfers.
- A registered SysOp can opt to have a Bulletin or Goodbye Screen generated
- by creating a SysOp.cfg file. The Screens contain 3 other bulletin board
- systems that the user may call, if you use the provided Sysop.CFG file.
- By changing the 3 to 999 then the generated screen will contain 999 BBSes.
- A value of 6 will fill the screen, the choice is yours.
- These bulletin board systems come from the list of BBSes that users add
- through the BBSLIST program. The 3 board listed in the screen file are
- rotated everytime the Blist program is run, if you did not specify (999)
- BBSes to be listed.
- Below is an example of the SysOp config we use file.
-
- SysOp.CFG File;
- C:\display\GoodBye.ANS <----Line 1 Ansi Screen
- C:\display\GoodBye.BBS <----Line 2 Monochrome Screen
- 3 <----Line 3 Number of BBSes to List
-
- The included program 'Blist.exe' must be called to generate these screens.
- We suggest that you use a Blist.Bat file to do this.
- Example Blist.Bat file;
- cd\bbslist <----Change to BBSLIST Directory
- blist <----Run Blist
- cd\bbs <----Change back to BBS directory
- board <----Restart the BBS
-
-
- The Door may be run by the SysOp Locally by typing BBSLIST BBSLIST.CFG /L
- to better evaluate the door.

- CONFIGURATION: (Your BBSLIST.CFG file)
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- The BBS List door supports the Following Door Data Types:
- PCB -- PcBoard
- GAP -- Gap (Door.sys)
- SF -- SpitFire
- RBBS -- RBBS
- WC -- WildCat
- TRIBBS -- Tribbs
- WWIV -- WWIV
-
- Example configuration file for PCBOARD.SYS
- ------------------------------------------
- PCB <=- (Door Data File Type See Above)
- C:\PCB\ <=- (Full pathname of your PCBOARD.SYS file)
- The GATE <=- (Change this to your BBS name)
- Dick Miller <=- (The Sysop's name)
- 38400 <=- (Locked Baud Rate or 0 for not Locked)
-
-
-
- ** Please see your individual door documentation on setting up doors!
-
-
-
-
- Environment Variables
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- PCBoard automatically creates the %PCBDRIVE% & %PCBDIR% environment
- variables. Non-PCBoard systems may also use these variables by including
- the following in either your BBS batch or AUTOEXEC.BAT
- SET PCBDRIVE=C: <- Drive letter of your BBS files
- SET PCBDIR=\BBSDIR <- Path to your BBS files
- Then in your Door .CFG file instead of putting C:\BBSDIR\DOOR.SYS, you
- would put %PCBDRIVE%%PCBDIR%\DOOR.SYS. This allows you to use just one
- .CFG file for multi-node operation!
-
- To specify a non-standard IRQ, put the IRQ number after the .CFG on the
- command line. For example:
-
- BBSLIST BBSLIST.CFG 5
- or using the PCBDRIVE procedure: SET IRQ=5 and use
- BBSLIST BBSLIST.CFG /%IRQ%
-
- This tells the program to use IRQ 5 instead of the standard IRQ.
-
