- REDOBBS.EXE
-
- BBSee V2.0 contains a new program REDOBBS.EXE which is a utility to
- rearrange the BBS file list contained in BBSEE.CFG.
-
- IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT
- ***********************************************************************
- Because of the nature of the delete operations in REDOBBS it will be
- necessary to use PACBBSee afterwards. Note too that BBSEE.CFG will be
- modified.
- ***********************************************************************
-
- To use REDOBBS it is necessary to first create an ASCII text file called
- BBSEE.CMD. This command file contains up to 10 lines of commands. The
- following commands are supported:
-
- DELETE {BBSNAME}
- Deletes a BBS and moves all the BBS names up one.
-
- SWAP {BBSNAME} WITH {BBSNAME}
- MOVE {BBSNAME} BEFORE {BBSNAME}
-
- I think these two are self-explanatory.
-
- INSERT {BBSNAME} BEFORE {BBSNAME}
- This will insert a new BBS name in the list, moving all the following
- BBS names down one.
-
- REPLACE {BBSNAME} WITH {BBSNAME}
-
- This will cause the BBS name to be deleted, as if you overtyped the
- name in BBSetup, with the addition that all data for that BBS will be
- deleted. If you are 'redoing' a BBS use this option, by giving the
- new BBS name and then use BBSetup to rename it to the old name.
-
- After creating this file run REDOBBS from the command line. I strongly
- recommend backing up of your BBSEE.CFG and master database (.db and
- .idx) files before using this utility.
