  1. This is a fix ONLY. It is not a complete program. If you are not running 
  2. Board Base Pro! version 5.10 then DO NOT install this fix.

  4. Explanation:

  6. This was pointed out by a TriBBS sysop so we are not sure if other BBS
  7. programs are having the same problem. When the DOOR.SYS drop file is
  8. created by the host system all names are written in UPPER CASE. Although
  9. most all of our software is not case sensitive, we never converted the
  10. name and alias from the DOOR.SYS file to upper case because it was already
  11. in upper case on most systems.

  13. Board Base Pro! uses the callers name to determine if they are the one
  14. that entered the info so that they can also edit their own entries. It
  15. also uses this info to determine access to the Sysop Maintenance areas
  16. found in ALL DISOFT Doors. If you, as the Sysop, have never seen a
  17. prompt that allows you to enter the maintenance section then you probably
  18. have a system that writes the name and alias in upper and lower case.

  20. This fix v5.11 will convert the information from the DOOR.SYS before it
  21. is compared.
