- < PRODUCT DESCRIPTION >
-
- ANSI Presentations is an ANSI advertisement door. It allows users to
- display their own ANSIs, such as BBS advertisements, etc... The ANSI can be
- up to 80 characters across, BUT can be no more then 20 lines down.
- Unregistered versions can only display three ANSI's, registered versions can
- display up to 100 ANSI's.
-
- The user must upload their ANSI's to your BBS. We wanted the users to
- upload the ANSI's directly using the door, BUT we could not check for viruses.
- By allowing the users to upload to your BBS, (your way), is a safer way,
- since you can test for viruses using an on-line virus scanner.
-
- If your users ANSI's are displaying with some weird characters, have
- them use "The Draw" program, using the Alt-B save commands. Also check if
- the ANSI is less then or equal to 80 characters across and less then or equal
- to 20 lines down. Remember an ANSI can only be a maximum of 80 characters
- across and 20 lines down. Make sure that all blank lines at the end of the
- ANSI are deleted. It may look like the ANSI if less than 20 lines long, but
- there still can be blank lines appended to the end of the ANSI.
-
- Use the program ANSITEST to test if the ANSI's are greater then 20 lines
- down. To run this program type: ANSITEST {and your filename}. Once the
- ANSI has passed, run ANSIPRES and add that ANSI file to your datafile.
-
- This door program is compatible with most BBS software. Supports up
- to 115K baud rate, COM 0-15, non-standard IRQ's and multi-port boards using
- a FOSSIL including PCBoard/M. Desqview compatible.
-

-
- < USER DROP FILES >
-
- For file: DEKMDOOR.CFG
-
- Enter this information on the first line of the configuration file
- called DEKMDOOR.CFG. This drop file is created by your BBS each time a
- user runs a door. This file has different names depending on the type
- of BBS software you are running. The enclosed user files are user files
- that are supported by this door program.
-
- PATH: BBS NAME:
- C:\WILDCAT\CALLINFO.BBS For Wildcat
- C:\WC30\WCWORK\NODE1\USERINFO.DAT For Wildcat 3.x
- C:\PCB\PCBOARD.SYS For PCBoard using PCBOARD.SYS only
- C:\PCB\USERS.SYS For PCBoard using USERS.SYS only
- C:\BBS\DOOR.SYS For systems which support DOOR.SYS
- C:\BBS\DORINFOx.DEF For QBBS/RBBS/RA. Replace x with
- Node number.
- C:\BBS\TRIBBS.SYS For TriBBS
- C:\BBS\SFDOORS.DAT For Spitfire
- C:\BBS\GTUSERS.BBS For GT Power systems
-
- * If your using GT Power, you must use a file editor and put the comport
- number on line 5 and the node number on line 6 of the DEKMDOOR.CFG
- configuration file.
-
-
- < COMM PORTS IRQs >
-
- This door program supports COM 1-4 on the standard IRQ's - COM1 or
- COM3 as a standars uses IRQ4 while COM2 and COM4 use IRQ3. If your
- sysem uses a non-standard IRQ, add the IRQ number after the
- configuration filename. For example: if the is called RUNME and you
- want to use COM1 but non-standard IRQ5. The command line passed to the
- door would be:
-
- RUNME DEKMDOOR.CFG / 5
-
- The /5 tells the door to use IRQ5 rather than the standard IRQ4
- normally used with COM1. No /x parameter is needed for the standard
- IRQ's.
-
-
- < FOSSIL DRIVERS >
-
- To tell the door to use the fossil driver instead of the standard
- COM ports, just put /FD on the command line when running the door.
- For Example:
-
- RUNME DEKMDOOR.CFG / FD
-
- The /FD indicates to the door that a fossil driver is present and
- should be used. If no fossil driver is detected, the program will print
- a message to that effect and exit the door.
-
-
- < FILES CONTAIN IN THE .ZIP PACKAGE >
