  1. Upgrading from v2.1:
  2. --------------------

  4. If you are upgrading from v2.1.  Just unzip this entire archive into the 
  5. directory that you are running v2.1 from.  Make sure that you DO NOT DELETE
  6. your announce.cfg file or you will have to set it up again. 
  7. You should also delete your ANNOUNCE.DAT file.  This is the file that stores 
  8. your announcement info.  Sorry...you will have to enter them again...
  9.  
  10. A small bug was fixed...When the Sysop entered a new message, when there were
  11. already other messages and the new message had less lines than the last older
  12. message, the NEW message would be saved but would keep the remainder of the
  13. older messages lines.

  15. Sorry, if this caused any Sysop's to pull their hair out..it is now fixed!

  19. Upgrading from v2.0:

  22. If you are upgrading from v2.0 then all you have to do is copy over the files
  23. into your existing directory!  The only file you will NOT want to copy over
  24. is your announce.cfg file!  v2.1 of ANNOUNCE! fixes a small bug when the
  25. input entered by the Sysop included quotations "".

  28. Other versions upgrading:

  31. If you are upgrading from v1.0 you MUST re-install ANNOUNCE!
  32.  
  33. A few things were changed in the main program and it will have an effect on
  34. any announcements that you may already have done!  The .cfg file has also
  35. changed.  The deleting feature will not work if you don't re-install!

  37. Just re-install ANNOUNCE! and you'll be fine.
