- Reported on 17-04-96
- Fixed on 11-05-96
- Reported by Ruud van Munster
- Description ALLFIX is sometimes unable to open the EzyCom file database
- files. It seems that this problem does not always occur,
- but it does affect a few areas in particular.
-
- This problem occurs when there are not enough file handles
- available.
-
- Bug nr 453
- Reported on 02-05-96
- Fixed on 11-05-96
- Reported by John McAlpin, Martijn Janssen
- Description ALLFIX is reporting the following error, even though the
- message base files are all located in the proper directory:
-
- Error opening Hudson Message Base dir: 'E:\BBS\MSG_BASE\'
- Unable to write new file report, HMB board : 19
-
- This problem was the result of not enough file handles
- available.
-
-
- Bug nr 456
- Reported on 06-05-96
- Fixed on 07-05-96
- Reported by Michael Bauer
- Description Running ALLFIX Notify is causing ALLFIX to think that the
- some strange sequence of groups has been specified on the
- commandline using the -Groups switch.
-
- Bug nr 459
- Reported on 06-05-96
- Fixed on 07-05-96
- Reported by Daniel Jacobs
- Description When calculating the Crc of a file, the file should be
- opened in read-denynone mode instead of read-write denynone
- mode. This will make it possible to open a read-only file.
-
-
- Bug nr 460
- Reported on 07-05-96

-
- Bug nr 462
- Reported on 07-05-96
- Fixed on 07-05-96
- Reported by Jim Smoot
- Description FIXUTIL Pack is causing ALLFIX to create a very large
- STATFILE.FI$ and STATFILE.ID$ file which exceeds 28 MB.
-
- The cause of this problem is the change in the maximum
- length of the fileecho tag. The only way to solve this
- problem is by deleting the STATFILE.* files.
-
-
- Bug nr 464
- Reported on 08-05-96
- Fixed on 08-05-96
- Reported by Ruud van Munster
- Description Concerning the EzyCom BBS, in order to reduce the number of
- filehandles that ALLFIX needs to open the file database
- files, a few small changes were necessary. ALLFIX will now
- require one less filehandle for updating the file database
- and two less for simply reading from the file database.
-
- Bug nr 470
- Reported on 10-05-96
- Fixed on 10-05-96
- Reported by Eric Carriere
- Description When updating an alias file, ALLFIX always inserts new
- entries before a line containing a '*' character on the
- first column. The reason is that certain mailers use that
- symbol, and new entries must be placed before the line
- containing such a symbol on the first column. This,
- however, presents a problem when the alias file contains a
- string such as "*.*".
-
- Bug nr 471
- Reported on 10-05-96
- Fixed on 10-05-96
- Reported by Sander Smeenk

-
- ToDo nr 216
- Sugggested on 07-05-96
- Implemented on 07-05-96
- Suggested by A lot of people
- Description Built in the ability to automatically add file areas to the
- RemoteAccess BBS configuration when auto-adding a new
- fileecho. Two new features have been added to the Group
- manager to help coordinate this. First, the "Add BBS" field
- determines whether or not ALLFIX should add new fileechos
- for this group to the BBS. The second option "BBS mask"
- determines which BBS file area ALLFIX should use as a
- template for the new area. A value of 0 disables the
- template feature.
-
-
- ToDo nr 217
- Sugggested on 08-05-96
- Implemented on 08-05-96
- Suggested by Harald Harms
- Description Due to a number of problems with the naming convention used
- by ALLFIX for TIC archives, this system has changed. The
- current system will use the following naming convention:
-
- [nodeid].xxC
-
- where [nodeid] is a number based on the system address and
- xx is a number between 00 and 99.
-
- This system will hopefully solve the problem where ALLFIX
- unpacks files which are not TIC archives. It will make the
- naming convention easier to understand.
-
- ToDo nr 219
- Sugggested on 08-05-96
- Implemented on 08-05-96
- Suggested by A lot of people
- Description Added the ability to also automatically add file areas to

-
- ToDo nr 220
- Sugggested on 09-05-96
- Implemented on 09-05-96
- Suggested by Harald Harms
- Description In order to make the request processor in ALLFIX more
- universal, ALLFIX will assume that it is running in
- FrontDoor mode (i.e. it will expect the different
- parameters on the commandline), unless the -SRIF switch is
- used which tells ALLFIX that the next parameter after the
- -SRIF switch is the name of the SRIF file.
-
- Example: ALLFIX Rp -SRIF [SRIF filename]
-
- The name of the SRIF file is automatically provided by the
- mailers which support the SRIF standard.
-
- ToDo nr 221
- Sugggested on 10-05-96

- Reported on 30-04-96
- Fixed on 13-05-96

-
- Bug nr 474
- Reported on 11-05-96
- Fixed on 13-05-96
- Reported by Robert Stark

-
-
- Bug nr 476
- Reported on 12-05-96
- Fixed on 13-05-96
- Reported by Paul Lopez
- Description The request processor is not treating the limits "Max

-
- Bug nr 478
- Reported on 12-05-96
- Fixed on 12-05-96

- Reported on 13-05-96
- Fixed on 13-05-96
- Reported by Scott Drake
- Description The report sent to a user when fileechos were added or

- Reported on 14-05-96
- Fixed on 14-05-96
- Reported by Freddy Verrezen
- Description When scanning for file requests, ALLFIX should not scan for
- more than 60 seconds. Otherwise, the remove system will
- hang up, due to a time out error.
-
- A Request Processor should return control back to the
- mailer after 35-40 seconds. ALLFIX has been changed so that
- it should return control after no more than 40 seconds,
- depending on the speed of your system.
-
- Bug nr 487

- Implemented on 14-05-96
- Suggested by Darr Hoag
- Description Offer the ability to log the path statements in a .TIC

-
- ToDo nr 205
- Sugggested on 21-04-96
- Implemented on 15-05-96
- Suggested by Michael Bauer
- Description Offer the ability to hatch a particular file periodically
- even if it has not changed. A new field has been added in
- the Hatch manager with the name "Always". If this field is
- set to Yes, then ALLFIX will hatch the file whenever the
- file exists and the file attribute is turned on.
-
- ALLFIX will still turn off the file attribute when the file
- is hatched. The reason for this is to prevent ALLFIX from
- hatching the file each time it runs. The purpose of this
- switch is to hatch the file even if it is a dupe.
-
- ToDo nr 207
- Sugggested on 24-04-96
- Implemented on 17-05-96
- Suggested by Olaf Westrik, Martijn Ruygrok

- then you should manually set this option back to Yes.
-
- For new installations or people updating from older
- versions, this value is automatically set to Yes.
-
-
- ToDo nr 209
- Sugggested on 01-05-96
- Implemented on 14-05-96
- Suggested by Peter Davies
- Description When a system is removed from the Node manager, it should
- also be removed from the ALLFIX.DAT file. This will prevent
- the situation where the node in question is automatically
- added to any outstanding uplink requests.
-
-
- ToDo nr 224
- Sugggested on 10-05-96
- Implemented on 14-05-96
- Suggested by Chris Stone
- Description InterMail uses the request file as the response file. This
- means that ALLFIX should read the contents of the request
- file and then use the same filename for the list of files
- to send. If the last parameter, namely the name of the
- response file is missing, then use the name of the request
- file.
-
- Example for InterMail:
-
- d:\allfix\allfix rp %a %n %x %f
-
- Where the last parameter, %f, is expanded to the name of
- the request file.
-
- ToDo nr 234
- Sugggested on 15-05-96

-
- This feature has been built into FIXUTIL. Usage:
-
- FIXUTIL Allfiles -File <template> -Name <filename>
-
- See ALLFILES.APL for an example template file.
-
- FIXUTIL will only scan the files areas that are defined in
- the FileFind file areas menu. If there is a need for a
- seperate list of fileareas for this feature, then that will
- be added at a later date.
-
-
- ToDo nr 238
