  4.        Dear ALLFIX user,

  7.        This is the first gamma version of the new ALLFIX 4.40. This
  8.        gamma version is only available to those people who have
  9.        registered ALLFIX.
  10.  
  11.        We have done our best to add some interesting new features.
  12.        Unfortunately, we have not had an opportunity to update the
  13.        documentation yet. Therefore, please read the UPDATE.LOG for a
  14.        detailed description of all of the bugs that have been fixed and
  15.        all of the features that have been added since version 4.33 build
  16.        6 was released.

  18.        This particular version features a new addition to ALLFIX,
  19.        namely, a request processor. Please read REQUEST.TXT for a
  20.        description of how this funtion works.

  22.        For those of you who are updating from a version prior to 4.40
  23.        build 5 should follow the following steps to update your
  24.        configuration:
  25.  
  26.        1. Make a backup of your ALLFIX directory.
  27.        2. Delete the STATFILE.* files.
  28.        3. Run ALLFIX Announce.
  29.        4. Run UPDATE to update your Magic filename configuration and
  30.           your Hatch manager configuration.
  31.        5. Run ASETUP Index.
