  15.  When the INSTALL program finishes and you are about to start Terminate
  16.  for the very first time and you want to ensure that the best defaults are
  17.  set, you must now turn on your modem or have your ISDN-card and
  18.  CAPI-software ready and installed. When Terminate is installed you should
  19.  remember that Alt-Z gives you a fast hotkey list of functions and Alt-O
  20.  gives you the main configuration menu where you can press F1 for the online
  21.  help. Press F1 twice to select and watch the index of the online help files.

  23.  2. New installation from floppydisk
  24.  -----------------------------------
  25.  Simply insert the disk in your floppy drive and type:
  26.  
  27.    A:           (Or B: for secondary drive)

  30.  3. New installation from CDROM
  31.  ------------------------------
  32.  Simply insert the CDROM in your drive and type:

  34.    D:           (Or the drive letter of your CDROM)

  37.  4. New installation from harddisk / packed archive

  39.  Unpack the distribution archive in a temporary directory.
  40.  If you downloaded a shareware test version online somewhere the file
  41.  would normally be called 400TER.ZIP. The packing method .ZIP would be
  42.  the usual but some systems repack the files in other formats.

  51.    Please note that you might find Terminate in ARJ, RAR or LZH format
  52.    which require a different command line. (ARJ e archive)

  54.  5. Upgrading from version 3
  55.  ---------------------------
  56.  Terminate PROFESSIONAL users can use the upgrade program called
  57.  300TO400.EXE. First you need to install in a completely new and empty
  58.  directory, and then run 300TO400.EXE. You will then be guided through
  59.  the upgrade. Note: It is not possible to use this upgrade program with
  60.  older versions of Terminate, you must upgrade to version 3 before you
  61.  can upgrade to version 4.

  63.  We STRONGLY recommend you NOT install in the same directory as
  64.  version 3. A lot of the files has changed and contain new information.
  65.  If you decide to take the chance and overwrite important files and
  66.  you then get problems, you must install in a complete new directory
  67.  and then copy your files manually. Never delete your old settings until
  68.  you are absolutely certain that your new system is working perfectly.

  70.  6. Information for blind users
  71.  ------------------------------
  72.  Welcome to one of the few programs that take special considerations
  73.  to people with poor sight or no sight at all. Terminate has been
  74.  developed with many blind users that have guided us in the right
  75.  direction and have made Terminate one of the most advanced programs
  76.  blind users use today. The most important thing you should remember
  77.  is that when you start TERMINAT for the first time and you hear the
  78.  "Color / VGA-Mono" you should press cursor down 3 times and hear:
  79.  "Blind support". Press ENTER on this option and all defaults will be
  80.  set to best performance for you.

  82.  7. Repacking information
  83.  -------------------------
  84.  Please note that ONLY the shareware test version without a personal
  85.  keyfile can be distributed to others. Please read the license conditions
  86.  during the installation.

  88.  WARNING! You cannot repack the 400TER._XE file to another format.
  89.  Repacking this archive will violate the copyright and abort the installation.

  91.  You can, however, repack 400TER._XE + INSTALL.EXE + FILE_ID.DIZ +
  92.  README.1ST + TERMINAT.DAT TERMINAT.DIS & TLAN_001 with another
  93.  archiver your BBS prefers. It would be more than helpful if you kept
  94.  the same naming convention, though; eg: 400TER.ZIP or 400TER.ARJ or
  95.  400TER.PAK or 400TER.ZOO, etc... You can include your own archive
  96.  comment, although we prefer to keep these archives completely
  97.  original (some systems may add comments automatically)

  99.  NO COMMERCIALS FOR ANY SYSTEMS OR FIRMS ARE TO BE PLACED WITHIN THESE
  100.  400TER.*  ARCHIVES!  Please delete any foreign files that have been
  101.  added in contravention of the above before uploading to other systems...
