- 2) Sound Device Auto-Configure
- ------------------------------
-
- When EasyKeys is run for the first time, it gives you the
- option of running Sound Device Auto-Configure before continuing.
- It is strongly recommended that you run this test in order to
- eliminate any possible sound problems which may occur.
-
- Sound Device Auto-Configure is comprised of a series of
- procedures which determine what sound device configuration is
- best suited for use with your system. You can run these
- diagnostics at any time by clicking on the 'Sound Device Auto-
- Configure...' button in the EasyKeys Global Options dialog. This
- test gives you a quick and easy way to configure your sound
- device for use with EasyKeys.
-
- If you change your system configuration in a way which may
- affect EasyKeys, the program detects this and runs Sound Device
- Auto-Configure again, automatically.
-
-
- -----------------------
- 3) Program Installation
- -----------------------
-
- The EasyKeys Setup program does very little in the way of
- modifying your current Windows environment.
-
- An EASYKEYS.INI file will be created in your Windows directory
- the first time you run EasyKeys. Additionally, the installation
- adds a line to your WIN.INI file:
-
- jbx=C:\EASYKEYS\easykeys.exe ^.jbx
-
- The Setup program asks you to specify a directory where it will
- then install EasyKeys and the following associated
- subdirectories:
-
- . The JAMBOX subdirectory contains a demo song.
- . The STYLES subdirectory contains styles.
- . The WAVES subdirectory contains .WAV files.
-
