Transcription: Cables and lace are two special effects that are formed by manipulating the basic stitches. In this lesson you will learn how to cross stitches using a cable needle and how to make the yarn over used in lace patterns. There are countless versions of cables but the idea is always the same. Stitches are crossed and worked in a different order than they appear on the left needle. In this example, slip the next two stitches purlwise onto the cable needle and leave at the front of the work. Knit the next two stitches then knit the two stitches from the cable needle.
