  1. Prelude is an adventure game.  Sit back and enjoy the ride.  Generally you can
  2. move north, east south or west by typing n, e, s, w.  A parser tries to
  3. understand your commands but he isn't all that smart.  He doesn't spelll very
  4. well either.  You might have to try different ways of saying the same thing.
  5. The parser also reports your progress.   Generally you can TAKE or DROP items
  6. that you come across.  You can LOOK AT various objects for more detail.  Other
  7. commands that the parser always understands include SAVE, LIST, RESTORE,
  8. RESTART, SCORE, WAIT, AGAIN, QUIT, INVENTORY.  If, as a last resort,
  9. you need a hint, type HINT  then do the following:
  10. SAVE GAME and QUIT. At the dos prompt, type:
  11.                 HINTS PRELUDE
  12. You can also type MAP PRELUDE.
  13. When you start the game, go south  and ENTER the shack, to see whats
  14. available. In general, look at all of the objects at your location...
  15. sometimes things are hidden.
