  3. Type 'IGOR' to run IGOR. 
  4.  
  5. We suggest using the mouse to control, but you are also able to use the 
  6. keyboard.
  7.  
  8. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  9. * IBM PC with a minimum of a 286 processor
  10. * DOS 3.1 or higher
  11. * VGA graphics with 256 colors
  12. * 640K RAM (576 K of conventional memory free)
  13. * Hard Disk with 2 megs free
  14.  
  15. Igor: Objective Uikokahonia supports the entire Soundblaster(TM) family
  16. of sound cards and compatibles.
  17.  
  18. GAME INTERFACE:
  19. The top part of the screen is used for graphics, where the story happens
  20.  
  21. The control panel is set in the bottom part, and it will let you tell Igor
  22. what you want him to do. The control panel is composed by:
  23.  
  24. - A line where the action Igor is going to do.
  25. - A row with seven verbs, that represent the different actions Igor can do,
  26.   apart from walking.
  27. - Inventory of the items that Igor is carrying.
  28.  
  29. You can control Igor with the "Arrow" keys, the numeric keypad, or the mouse.
  30. You control a cursor, which resembles a crosshair. You can move Igor with the 
  31. cursor, by moving the cursor to the desired location and clicking on the left
  32. mouse button. If you wish to use one of the other commands, such as "Take",
  33. you must move the cursor to the desired icon. Then click the left mouse
  34. button. Next, move the cursor to the object that you want to act upon, and
  35. click the left mouse button again. If you don't have a mouse, [ENTER] is
  36. equivilant to left mouse button, and [CTRL] is equivilant to the right
  37. mouse button. You may find that you aren't able to interact with certain 
  38. objects in the game. There are several reasons for this.
  39.  
  40. 1) The object you wish to interact with is part of the 'scenery' and it
  41. isn't part of the actual game.
  42.  
  43. 2) You don't have the cursor directly over the object, and the game doesn't
  44. know what you want it to do. You should slowly move the cursor over the 
  45. object, until the name of the object appears in the text window and then
  46. click the left mouse button. If the name of the object doesn't appear, and
  47. you click the mouse button, the default command of 'Walk to' will appear
  48. in the text window.

  50. The above also applies to the large maps, when you leave a major area of the
  51. game. Since this is the shareware version, only certain areas of the map
  52. are available to you.

  54. ACCESSING THE CONTROL PANEL:
  55. By pressing the SPACEBAR, you will activate the control panel. The control
  56. panel allows you to Save a game, Load a game, Exit to DOS and Turn sound 
  57. effects on/off.
