  4. PURPOSE
  5.   The Products To Install menu lets you
  6.   tailor your Corel WordPerfect
  7.   installation to products you desire.
  8.  
  9.     Corel WordPerfect 8 GUI and Corel
  10.     WordPerfect 8 Character- based are
  11.     designed as companion products.  By
  12.     installing both, you will provide a
  13.     solution for both X terminal and
  14.     regular terminal users.  Document
  15.     conversion between the
  16.     Character-based Corel WordPerfect and
  17.     the GUI Corel WordPerfect is automatic.

  19.     Corel WordPerfect 8 GUI is based on the
  20.     X Windowing System and has an intuitive
  21.     Motif interface complete with bars,
  22.     rulers, and other productivity boosters.
  23.     It is a full featured word processor.
  24.     Corel WordPerfect GUI has many desktop
  25.     publishing features as well as robust
  26.     drawing and charting capabilities.
  27.     Corel WordPerfect GUI offers enhanced
  28.     tables and spreadsheet handling,
  29.     ExpressDoc templates, QuickFinder, and
  30.     Grammatik grammar checker.  It is file
  31.     compatible with Corel WordPerfect for
  32.     Windows.

  34.     Corel WordPerfect 8 Character-based
  35.     sports a character interface for use
  36.     on a variety of UNIX terminals.  Corel
  37.     WordPerfect Character-based is much
  38.     smaller than its GUI counterpart.  If
  39.     you are in a terminal-only environment,
  40.     you should install Corel WordPerfect
  41.     Character-based only.  If disk space
  42.     and/or memory usage is an issue Corel
  43.     WordPerfect Character-based is smaller.
  44.     Corel WordPerfect Character-based
  45.     includes all the functionality of Corel
  46.     WordPerfect 7 such as columns, tables,
  47.     and graphics integration as well as new
  48.     features like Grammatik, Quick- Finder,
  49.     and ExpressDocs.
