  1. NAME
  2.   Edit Boot File
  3.  
  4. PURPOSE
  5.   The License Manager must be running on
  6.   this machine for users to start Corel
  7.   WordPerfect.  If you are performing this
  8.   installation as a superuser, the
  9.   Installation program will start the
  10.   License Manager for you automatically as
  11.   part of the installation process.  If
  12.   you are not currently logged in as a
  13.   superuser, you must start the License
  14.   Manager yourself after the installation
  15.   is completed.

  17.   When you reboot this machine, the License
  18.   Manager will not start unless you do one
  19.   of three things:

  21.   - Log in as a superuser and use the
  22.     wplicense -s command in the shbin10
  23.     directory to start the License Manager
  24.     manually.
  25.  
  26.   - Log in as a supersuer and start Corel
  27.     WordPerfect so that Corel WordPerfect
  28.     starts the License Manager for you.
  29.  
  30.   - Add the command to start the License
  31.     Manager to the UNIX system boot file
  32.     so that starting the License Manager
  33.     is included in the boot process.

  35. STEPS
  36.   To have the Installation program edit
  37.   the UNIX system boot file for you,
  38.  
  39.   1 Choose to update or not update the
  40.     boot file."
  41.  
  42.     - If you choose to update the boot file,
  43.       the original file will will be backed
  44.       up with a .bak extension.
  45.  
  46.     - If you choose not to update the boot
  47.       file, you will need to start the
  48.       License Manager manually each time you
  49.       reboot this machine.  You can make
  50.       this change later by following the
  51.       instructions in wpbin/README.FLEXlm.
