  1. The Even More Incredible Machine Windows Patch
  2.  
  3. This patch disk will update your copy of The Even More 
  4. Incredible Machine version 1.0 for Windows to version 1.01.  
  5. It corrects several issues, including the following error 
  6. messages:
  7. 1) "You Cannot Run More Than One Copy of This Program" error 
  8. messages when running Windows in 256 color mode (the first 
  9. time you try to run the game).
  10. 2) "Runtime Error: Stack Overflow" error messages (when 
  11. Windows MIDI Mapper is not configured correctly).
  12.  
  13. The following are instructions to update your copy of The 
  14. Even More Incredible Machine.  These instructions assume 
  15. the patch disk is in the B: drive, and that The Even More 
  16. Incredible Machine is already installed on your C: drive 
  17. in a directory called C:\TIMWIN:
  18.  
  19. 1) Select the FILE menu in Windows Program Manager.  
  20. 2) In the FILE menu, select RUN.
  21. 3) In the Command Line box, type: B:PATCH <ENTER>
  22. 4) If you installed The Even More Incredible Machine to 
  23. the default directory (C:\TIMWIN), click CONTINUE INSTALL.  
  24. If you installed it to another directory, enter the pathname 
  25. of the directory and then click CONTINUE INSTALL.
  26. 5) You will see a message stating "The specified directory 
  27. already exists.  Are you sure you want to install the files 
  28. here?".  Click on YES.
  29. 6) You will see another message stating "The file 
  30. C:\TIMWIN\TEMIM.EXE already exists.  Replace?".  Click on YES.
  31. 7) The patch will then update your copy of The Even More 
  32. Incredible Machine.  Click on OK when the installation is
  33. complete.
