  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING SWOTL 2.1 UPGRADE
  2.  
  3. This file contains everything you need to update your SWOTL game to
  4. version 2.1.  YOU MUST OWN THE SECRET WEAPONS OF THE LUFTWAFFE SOFTWARE
  5. IN ORDER TO USE THIS UPGRADE.  Please follow the installation instructions
  6. below carefully.  If you have any questions, please direct them to Liz
  7. Nagy (CompuServe:  75300,454;  America Online, LizN1; or GEnie, LUCASFILM)
  8. or call our technical support staff at (415) 721-3333.

  10. DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT YOU NEED THIS UPGRADE
  11.  
  12. If you have SWOTL *and* the P-80, He162 or Do335 expansion disks, you do not
  13. need to install this upgrade.  These expansion disks are fully equipped
  14. with version 2.1.  If you have only the original SWOTL game, it is to your 
  15. advantage to upgrade.  If you have the P-38 expansion disk (and no other
  16. expansion disks), you may or may not need this upgrade.  Early releases
  17. of the P-38 disk contained an intermediate version of SWOTL (2.0) which
  18. does not have all the enhancements of version 2.1.  If you have the P-38
  19. disk and are not sure if you should upgrade, please ask Liz Nagy or a
  20. tech support representative for assistance.   For a complete list of
  21. changes found in version 2.1, please read the SWOTL21.TXT file in this
  22. library.

  24. NOTE:  IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE P-80, HE162 OR DO335 DISK, AND SUBSEQUENTLY
  25. INSTALL THE P-38 DISK, YOU SHOULD RE-INSTALL THIS PATCH.

  28. INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
  29.  
  30. The SWUPG.ZIP file, which you have just unzipped, contains a second zipped
  31. file, SWOTL21.ZIP.  This was done to assure easy and complete installation.
  32. After reading this file, follow the instructions below.
  33.  
  34. 1.  Make sure you have a backup of your SWOTL files.  We hope that you
  35. will have no trouble installing the upgrade, but it is a good idea to
  36. back up your files, just in case you encounter difficulty.

  38. 2.  Unzip the SWOTL21.ZIP file into your SWOTL directory, using the 
  39. "-D" and "-O" parameters.  This will ensure that existing files of the
  40. same name will be replaced by the new files, and the files will be placed
  41. in the proper subdirectories.  Use the following syntax:

  43. PKUNZIP -D -O SWOTL21.ZIP C:\SWOTL
