  1. To upgrade a registered copy of Stars! from version 2.0 to
  2. version 2.0a place patch.exe and stars20a.upd in the same
  3. directory as your registered version 2.0 of Stars!.
  4. Run Patch.

  6. Note:
  7. In a multi-player game the players should submit their turns
  8. with version 2.0 and then the host should be updated to 2.0a,
  9. generate the new turn and the players should upgrade to 2.0a
  10. before loading their new turns.  You can not play with a mix
  11. of 2.0 and 2.0a players.
