  7. This patch disk will resolve the following issues that you may 
  8. encounter while playing Space Quest V:
  9.  
  10. 1) Inability to restore or quit game when Roger runs out of time while 
  11. trying to steal the cloaking device from WD-40's ship.
  12.  
  13. 2) Inability to skip polishing the Star Con Crest when running on 286 
  14. systems with EGA graphics.
  15.  
  16. 3) Loss of the icon when Roger steps of the log which spans the river
  17. on Kiz Urazgubi.  
  18.  
  19. To install this patch, just copy the patch filess (*.HEP and *.SCR)
  20. into the directory where Space Quest V has been installed and then
  21. run the game as before.

  25.                PROCEDURE TO COPY THIS PATCH
  26. 1. Insert the disk that contains the patch files: 
  27.    into drive A: or B:.  For this example, we will use drive A:.
  28.  
  29. 2. Go into the directory on your hard drive where you have installed
  30.    Police Quest and enter the following command:
  31.    COPY A:\*.HEP <ENTER>
  32.    COPY A:\*.SCR <ENTER>
  33.  
  34. You are now ready to run the game.  Just type SQ5 <Enter> and you are on
  35. your way.
