  1. Updated SoundBlaster Driver - AUDBLAST.DRV
  2.  
  3. This updated AUDBLAST.DRV corrects a problem with some SoundBlaster 16 ASP
  4. sound cards in which only the first digitized sound effect is heard.  It
  5. works with the following games:
  6.  
  7. EcoQuest CD-ROM
  8. King's Quest VI CD-ROM
  9. Laura Bow II CD-ROM
  10. Space Quest IV CD-ROM
  11.  
  12. To use the new driver, copy AUDBLAST.DRV to the game directory on your hard 
  13. drive.  If you installed the game to your hard drive for faster play, this 
  14. is all you need to do.  For example, if King's Quest VI CD is installed to
  15. the default \SIERRA\KQ6CD directory on your C: drive, and the new 
  16. AUDBLAST.DRV is on a disk in your A: drive, you would type:

  18. COPY A:\AUDBLAST.DRV C:\SIERRA\KQ6CD [ENTER]
  19.  
  20. If you are playing the game from the CD, use a text editor (like the MS-DOS 
  21. Edit program) to modify the RESOURCE.CFG file in the game directory on your 
  22. hard drive.  The line that refers to the SoundBlaster driver looks like this:

  24.  audioDrv  = AUDBLAST.DRV
  25.  
  26. If you put AUDBLAST.DRV on your C: drive, edit the audioDrv line 
  27. to look like this:

  29.  audioDrv  = C:AUDBLAST.DRV
