  6. GAME is the upgrade file which corrects an anomaly in the Royal
  7. Flush game rules that awarded only 100 points for every hit on
  8. the pop bumper during 3-ball play. After installing the upgrade,
  9. you will be awarded 1000 points for every hit, exactly as in the
  10. original Gottlieb game. 100 points per hit will continue to be
  11. correctly awarded in 5-ball play.

  13. Now you'll get full points in all 3-ball games, including
  14. Tournament play.

  17. Here are the instructions for installing the upgrade:

  19. It is assumed that you have installed the game on the C: drive,
  20. in the AMTEX\RF directory. It is also assumed that you've
  21. uzipped the file RFUP1.ZIP in the C:\AMTEX\RF directory. If
  22. you installed the game on a different drive or directory, you
  23. will have to modify the commands accordingly.

  26. 1) The new file, GAME, must be copied into a subdirectory
  27. called SCRIPTS. If you've installed Royal Flush from floppy 
  28. disks, this subdirectory already exists. Skip to step 2. 
  29. If you're playing the CD version of Royal Flush, you must first 
  30. create the SCRIPTS directory inside C:\AMTEX\RF. Enter the 
  31. following command:

  34.           MD SCRIPTS

  37. 2) Now copy the upgrade file GAME into the SCRIPTS sub-directory.

  40.           COPY GAME SCRIPTS

  43. If you are using the disk version of Royal Flush, you will be
  44. warned when you attempt to overwrite the old GAME file. Not to
  45. worry, go ahead and overwrite the old GAME file with the new one.

  47. 3) Check that the file is in the proper directory by entering:

  53.    You should see something similar to this:

  66. Now when you start Royal Flush, it will use the GAME file in the
  67. new SCRIPTS directory on your hard disk instead of the original
  68. file located on the CD.
