- Because we cannot guarantee that you have a particular game, this
- program has been included with the Action Replay PC Pro to enable you to
- interact with the Trainer examples within the pages of the manual. Once you
- have grasped the technique of cheat code generation, you can apply these
- same skills to games in your collection.

- Playing the Game.
- ═════════════════════
- The aim of the game is to move around the maze eating the green and
- red pills, trying not to bump into the monsters. When PCMAN eats a red pill,
- the monsters change colour and for a short time PCMAN can eat them. When all
- the pills have been eaten, a new screen will appear. Items of fruit will
- appear on the screen for an added bonus.

- Controls.
- ═════════════════════
- Use the cursor keys to move PCMAN around the maze. The program will
- remember the last key press, so to turn into a passageway press the
- appropriate direction key before PCMAN gets there. This makes it very easy
- to move around the maze.

- Speed.
- ═════════════════════
- The program can be run on any PC, although it runs a bit slow on an
- XT compatible (8086) computer. The game speed can be adjusted to allow for
- personal tastes, but it will set itself up with an appropriate speed setting.
- To adjust the speed, use the "-" key to decrease speed, "+" key to increase
- speed.

- This program will only run on a PC with a colour VGA graphics
- adapter.

- The following files must be in the same directory for the game to
- run.
- PCMAN.COM The game
- PCMAN.HGH The high score table
- PCMAN.PIC The intro screen
- PCMAN.DOC The documentation
- PCMAN.BIN The palette

- When the program terminates, it will save the high score table to
- the file PCMAN.HGH, so make sure the disk isn't write protected.
