  1. NOTE: This  file is intended for  use with MSDOS Quest  For Glory
  2. II: Trial By Fire ONLY!

  4. Use ONLY if you are  experiencing game RESTORE/SAVE problems with
  5. Quest For Glory II: Trial By  Fire for MSDOS version 1.000. Other
  6. uses may give unpredictable results and are NOT supported!
  7.  
  8. To use the replacement SCIV.EXE file:
  9.  
  10. 1) Before proceeding, make a backup copy of your startup disk.
  11. 2) Select and perform one of the following procedures.
  12.  
  13.    For single floppy drive systems:
  14.  
  15.    a) Insert the disk containing the SCIV.EXE file in your floppy
  16.       drive.
  17.    b) Type: COPY A:SCIV.EXE B: <Enter>
  18.    c) When prompted  to  "Insert  disk in  Drive B"   insert your
  19.       BACKUP startup  game disk in your  floppy drive. Then press
  20.       <Enter>.
  21.  
  22.    For dual floppy drive systems:
  23.  
  24.    a) Insert  the  disk containing  the SCIV.EXE  file in your A:
  25.       drive.
  26.    b) Insert your BACKUP startup game disk in your floppy drive.
  27.    c) Type: COPY A:SCIV.EXE B: <Enter>
  28.  
  29.    For    single    or  dual  floppy  drive  systems  with  the  game
  30.    installed to the hard drive:
  31.  
  32.    a) Insert  the  disk containing  the SCIV.EXE  file in your A:
  33.       drive.
  34.    b) Type:  COPY A:SCIV.EXE C:\SIERRA\TRIAL <Enter>
  35.  
  36. 3) You  can  now  proceed  to  run  or  INSTALL the game  per the
  37.    instructions in your game  documentation from your backup disk
  38.    #1 or hard disk. Please NOTE: You will NOT be able to use your
  39.    old  saved games.  You must   start the  game from  fresh. You
  40.    should still be able to IMPORT  your Quest For Glory I (Hero's
  41.    Quest: So  You Want To Be  a Hero) character if  you completed
  42.    that game.
