  1. Applying the DOOM II patch:

  3. *NOTE: THIS PATCH ONLY WORKS WITH DOOM II VERSION 1.7a. IT WILL
  4. NOT WORK WITH ANY OTHER VERSION.
  5.  
  6. 1. Erase the current DOOM II directory completely and start with a 
  7. clean install of DOOM II v1.7a. This will make sure there are no
  8. problems patching due to modified wad files or a modified DOOM2.EXE. 
  9.     
  10. 2. Unzip the file "PATCH.ZIP" into the DOOM2 directory.
  11.  
  12. 3. Change to the DOOM2 directory (if you are not already there).
  13.  
  14. 4. Type "PATCH"
  15.  
  16. 5. After the patch is complete the message "Batch file missing" will
  17. appear. Ignore it.
