  1. *** DELTA-V CD-ROM PATCH ***

  3. This patch file will fix the problem with the game exiting to DOS when you 
  4. start level 6 and 9.  This patch will only work for the CD-ROM version of 
  5. Delta-V by Bethesda Softworks.

  7. To use, copy PATCH.COM to your DELTAV_C directory and type PATCH and press
  8. ENTER.  Then you may type DELTAV to start the game.  
  9.  
  10. Basically, PATCH.COM is a tiny Terminate-and-Stay-Resident program that changes
  11. two flag values that D.EXE is looking for.  This patch will not modify any
  12. files on your Hard Disk or CD-ROM.  You will need to type PATCH every time you 
  13. want to play the game since the last time you rebooted your machine.

  15. Small Disclaimer- We have tested this patch and it works on several machines, 
  16. however we cannot guarantee 100% compatibility without delaying the patch 
  17. further for extensive testing.  It is only a tiny TSR, though, and should not 
  18. conflict with any elements of the game or your system.  However, because this 
  19. patch is only needed for Levels 6 and 9, it is not recommended nor necessary 
  20. to use it after you have completed Level 9 of the game.  We would be inter-
  21. ested in hearing if you have any further problems with Delta-V or this patch.
